Fall is so near and it's almost time to get your cozy on! Not only do the changing of the seasons bring cooler weather, it also brings lots of fun activities!
Here's a slew of 33 Fun, Frugal Fall Activities to keep you and your family busy this season…
1. Rake leaves and jump in!
Who says this is just a kid activity?
2. Turn off the air conditioning and open those windows!
This will help you save on your electric bill and will also allow those fresh, fall smells to circulate through your home.
3. Take your pets on more walks
Fall is a great season to be outside since the temperature is so pleasant. It is also a great time to take those pets on more outings.
4. Visit the dog park or playground
Since I do not have children, I default to going to the dog park but they are both more fun when it isn't so hot out.
5. Clean out for winter
Go through your closets and clean out all those summer clothes. If you did not wear something this year, this is a perfect time to get it out of your house. (Tips on de-cluttering)
6. Have a yard sale!
Hosting a yard sale is a great way to earn a few dollars from all that stuff you just cleaned out.
7. Hand wash your car
Instead of spending money on a car wash, head outside and wash the vehicle yourself. Not only will this save you cash, it will also help you soak in that Fall air.
8. Go to a hay ride
Most of the time hay rides cost a few dollars but nothing says Fall like riding around on a hay bale.
9. Start a tradition
Have you always wanted to have a weekly family football game? Get that competition started!
10. Host a football party
Invite friends over to watch the game at your house. Instead of being responsible for the food (which can get pricey) simply ask them to bring a dish and enjoy the company.
11. Collect leaves
Go on a hunt for some unique and colorful leaves. You could make a collection to display in your home or try your hand at leaf rubbings.
12. Get lost in a corn maze

If possible, head to an apple orchard and pick some apples straight from the tree.

You don’t have to be a child (or have one) to attend a Fall Festival. They’re a great way to celebrate the season.

If you’re into biking (or even if you're not), check out a new path and see where it takes you.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, knowing how to make a pumpkin pie can come in handy. Not to mention how tasty they are!
21. Start planning your Halloween costume
For adults and kids alike, Halloween costumes are super expensive if bought from a store. Now is a great time to start thinking about the costumes you want to wear and figure out how to make them from home instead of purchasing them.
22. Make a scarecrow
Save a few clothing items from that closet clean and use them to create a scarecrow.
23. Start planning for Christmas

24. Stack firewood
If you are fortunate enough to have a fireplace in your home, Fall is the perfect time to start stacking firewood and preparing for the winter.
25. Collect pine cones
You can use them for holiday crafts or for fire starters.

27. Check your community calendar
Many cities have community resource calendars that list activities that are going on during the month. Attend events to get out and meet new people.

Fall just wouldn’t be complete without carving a pumpkin. Get creative this year and make your pumpkin super special.

Rearranging your home to make it more functional will make it feel like a completely new space. Trust me, re-arranging furniture is something just about everyone has an opinion on.
