Tutor is an online tutoring platform for grades K-12 and beyond in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies. Since 1998, the company has served schools, libraries, colleges, governors, and even the military.
Requirements:
- A resident of the United States or Canada
- Have a valid Social Security Number
- Eligible to work in the United States or Canada
- Available to work at least five hours a week
- Fluent in English and communications
- Be at least a sophomore in college or have a college degree/certificate. (Some subjects, such as Accounting, Economics, Finance, College Essay Writing, and College Statistics, require a degree in those fields)
You must also meet the technical requirements outlined in their FAQ.
Pay: Pay rates are determined based on the subject you are tutoring. On average, you can expect to make about $15 per hour.
Varsity Tutors
Varsity Tutors has been connecting students with tutors worldwide for over a decade. Tutors may find work within their area or online through the platform. They serve over 150,000 clients and have been recognized by major networks such as Fox, NBC, CBS, and USA Today.
Requirements: You only need a computer and a stable internet connection to apply to Varsity Tutors. It only takes three minutes to apply, according to their website.
You must also be at least 18 years of age and be proficient in the field you attend to teach. It also helps if you have prior teaching experience, such as tutoring, homeschooling, or in a formal teaching environment.
Pay: $15 – $25 per hour

2. Online Writing Jobs
Writing is a flexible profession, and freelance writing is a great way for a writer to make money from home. However, beginners need to take time to build a professional reputation. If you're starting as a writer, you should find your expertise and create some writing samples before applying for writing jobs.
Verblio
Verblio is a platform for freelance content writers, and it's one of my favorite stay-at-home mom jobs. Writers may select from thousands of on-spec writing jobs posted by companies around the globe.
Jobs are available in almost every subject, including lifestyle, health, travel, entertainment, design, construction, marketing, and more.
Requirements: To write for Verblio, you must submit a valid W9 form. Then, you must fulfill a 300-word job posted by any companies currently on the platform. A Verblio associate will review your content and determine whether you fit the platform well. You will not be permitted to submit more content until you have passed the review, which may take 7-10 business days.
Pay: When you first begin writing for Verblio, you will only be permitted to fulfill jobs of 300-500 words in length. As you submit and sell content, your ranking will go up, and you can write for companies looking for longer posts, which pay more.
You will not receive payment for your work until the company purchases your content. A company may also decline your submission or request that it be edited before its purchase.
Once you begin selling posts, you must submit an invoice to receive payment. You receive pay every Monday evening via PayPal.

Writing is one of my favorite jobs because it provides various work-at-home opportunities. Online Writing Jobs is a platform for freelance B2B and B2C content in the automotive, education, health, science, technology, and travel industries.
Requirements:
- Complete the online writer application.
- Submit a writing sample based on their instructions.
- Enter a W9 form
- Submit a valid United States ID as proof of residency
Pay: Writers receive pay for an article based on the subject, their level of expertise, and the word length. Generally, writers can expect to make $15-$50 per article.

3. Transcription Jobs
Transcription is a flexible job that allows you to work from home and requires little or no prior experience. You have the freedom to set your hours and, most of the time, work as many hours as you want each week.
While transcription jobs usually fall into one of these categories; general, medical and legal, the latter two will usually require professional training or experience. If you’re starting, you’ll want to look into general transcription, so I will focus on that.
Rev
Rev is a platform for audio transcription. Transcriptionists can select from a variety of English audio to transcribe.
Requirements: To work for Rev, you must complete a grammar and transcription test. You will be notified within 48 hours whether or not you qualify to transcribe for Rev.

Transcribe Me is one of the top-rated audio transcription platforms recognized across the web by reputable bloggers.
