Hey there, Alicia here again from Sew What Alicia.
If your household is anything like mine then it has been overtaken with Animal Crossing fever! You should also check out these Animal Crossing cross stitch patterns.
My son recently had a birthday and I knew I had to make some fun Animal Crossing cut files. Instead of keeping them for myself, I decided to share them with all of you, just in case your kids (or you) need your own Animal Crossing gear!
Tips for Working With Vinyl
- You'll need a cutting machine. I prefer the Cricut machines, like THIS one. If you have never worked with a cutting machine, find out everything you need to know HERE.
- You will need a blank for your project. A crafting blank is just a blank item that is raring to go for your vinyl projects. This could be anything, a blank notebook, a t-shirt, or even a tumbler.
- Grab your blanks, including the adorable baseball tees pictured in this post, from Happy Crafters HERE.
- Grab your heat transfer vinyl, like the fluorescent that I used, HERE.
- Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) is used for shirts and apparel. This vinyl is ironed on using a heat press or another heat source. I recommend the Cricut EasyPress.
- Files used with HTV should be mirrored before cutting. This is because you cut on the reverse side of the vinyl and then flip it over to iron it on.
- Adhesive vinyl is used to make car decals and on items such as tumblers. This vinyl is not applied with heat.
- You do not need to mirror the file if you will be using adhesive vinyl.

However, please note that you will need the upgraded Silhouette software to use an SVG.
Girl Cut File

However, please note that you will need the upgraded Silhouette software to use an SVG.
Shake Yo Money Maker File
You can find the boy and girl version of the Shake Yo Money Maker Tree file over on my blog. Grab them HERE.
How To Use the Files:
- Download the files you want to use.
- Import the files into the design software for your cutting machine.
- Resize the file to fit your blank.
- Cut the image with your cutting machine. Be sure to mirror the image if you are using HTV. Check out THIS post for more tips on using HTV.
- Check the vinyl instructions for the correct heat setting and press times. Then press the image onto your blank.
- For adhesive vinyl cut the image without mirroring. Use transfer tape to move the image and then attach it to your blank. See THIS post for more detailed instructions on adhesive vinyl.
