When I'm not making my own detergent I use the traditional kind. My favorite is Persil (it's literally the best smelling detergent I've ever tried! This isn't sponsored. I literally just love it that much.)
However, as lovely as it smells, there's ONE HUGE PROBLEM!
You see, I can't get all the detergent out of the bottle! And, let me tell you, there are few things more frustrating than feeling like I'm throwing away money. (You too?)
I've tried all sorts of things in the past to try to get out the last bit of the detergent. And, so we're clear, it's not like it's just a teeny tiny amount of detergent left in the bottle! Because of the bottle design and spout, a TON of detergent is not able to get out when the detergent level gets low.
Here are a few of the things I've tried to get the rest of the detergent out:
- Puncturing a hole in the side of the bottle
- Wiggling the bottle back and forth so it all eventually comes out
- Creating a wobbly structure where the bottle is upside-down in a funnel and the funnel is in the detergent cup
THEN! I figured out this hack! Watch the video to see how I easily get out ALL OF THE DETERGENT!
