The much-anticipated announcement about the fate of Netflix’s Shadow and Bone has finally been decided. We will be returning to the Grishaverse! That was a given, wasn’t it? Everyone was talking about Ben Barnes… I mean, who said that?

Fans are already excitedly theorizing where the second season will take the beloved characters. Will we finally delve deeper into Kaz’s traumatic backstory and see why he’s so touch-averse? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Kate — First Look (September 10th, 2021)

Since the announcement of Netflix’s new thriller Kate, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, not much has been known. But now, Netflix has given viewers a first look at the story. Don’t get too excited, it’s not a trailer — yet.

The story centers around a ruthless criminal operative who, after being irreversibly poisoned, has less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her enemies and in the process forms an unexpected bond with the daughter of one of her past victims.

Winstead leads an ensemble cast that includes: Woody Harrelson, Michiel Huisman, Tadanobu Asano, and Jun Kunimura.

Umbrella Academy — Season 3 Episode Titles

Netflix brought us a first look at the 10-episode third season of Umbrella Academy by way of the ever-cryptic episode titles! It’s not a lot, but it was certainly enough to feed the Brellies who are desperate for new content!

Perhaps there’s still more news to come during Geeked Week.

Cowboy Bepop — Coming This Fall

During Netflix’s Geeked Week, it was announced that the legendary composer Yoko Kanno will return to score the live-action Cowboy Bepop. You couldn’t have the series without his iconic jazz-ified soundtrack.

Cowboy Bepop is set to premiere on Netflix later this fall with an epic cast. The quintessential western lawman Chalmers will be played by Geoff Stults; Ana, the proprietor of the hottest underground bluesy jazz club on Mars, will be played by Tamara Tunie; Ana’s right-hand person Gren will be played by Mason Alexander Park; Mao, the Capo of the Syndicate's “White Tigers” family, will be played by Rachel House; and Anna Truong and Hoa Xuande will bring Vicious’ twin Syndicate henchman Shin and Lin to life.

John Chow was previously announced as the cool cowboy Spike Spiegel, with Mustafar Shakir as Jet Black, Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, Alex Hassell as Vicious, and Elena Satine as Julia, the object of Spike Spigel’s desires.

Sandman — Behind the Scenes

Neil Gaiman’s highly anticipated Sandman live-action adaptation has been at the forefront of all of our minds since the star-studded casting announcement last month. Now, go behind the scenes with Gaiman himself and get a first look at what Netflix has planned for this remarkable story. Including a short interview with Lucifer —  Gwendoline Christie.

“This is Sandman being made for people who love Sandman by people who love Sandman.”
