How Can I Get A Water Stone In Black 2?

You can find a Water Stone from Route 19. Likewise, you can find one in the Clay Tunnel. However, you need to use the Dowsing Machine to find the water stone, so obtain that key item first.

You have a 0.25% chance of finding a Water Stone in Hidden Grottoes in Routes 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9. These are early game routes, so you don't have to progress too far in the story to get one.

However, you have to be lucky and patient. The content of the Hidden Grotto is random. You have to get it to see what it is.

If it is not a Water Stone, you need to make at least 256 steps to let the Hidden Grotto regenerate its content. There's also no way of farming Water Stones with this method, as Hidden Grottoes tend to generate content not similar to the last one they had.

Next, go to Thumb Pier. It is the first pier or the one directly south of the Bridge Gate.

Step 3: Talk to the scientist.

There is one scientist on Thumb Pier; talk to him. He will ask you which one of the “elemental monkeys” you want to evolve. Choose Panpour.

The scientist will ask you if it is a Water Stone that you need. Select Yes, and he will give you one.
