Worried About the Rising Cost of Living? Budgets Give You Power!

With the cost of living continuing to rise, affording basic necessities like food and housing can become serious concerns.

While there is no one-size-fits-all answer to the cost of living crisis, budgeting can be an effective tool for many people.

With so many budgeting apps now available in the US, it's surprising that over half of Americans still prefer using pen and paper as their primary budgeting method.

The number of people using apps for budgeting is lower than we expected, but it's growing. Only about one in ten respondents claimed to use an app or computer program for their budgets, but Techcrunch reports that financial technology, or “fintech,” outperformed the market by three times in 2021.

Clearly, more and more Americans are turning towards technology to help them manage their finances.

While the survey captured the primary methods, we found that some people opt to use more than one budgeting method to keep up to date.
