A recent online discussion lists some of the most common things people are seriously concerned about. Here's what makes the list. 

Losing Freedom

Freedom is a beautiful thing, and people in the online forum claim to lose sleep over national governments and their actions. 

Needles

The idea of needles really freaks a lot of people out. Having sharp pieces of metal put into your skin isn't a great thought and some people hate that idea more than others. 

Death

One of the biggest fears people battle is not knowing what comes after death: do we go to heaven? Is it permanent darkness? It's a common cause of existential dread. 

The Ocean

We've all read about the terrifying creatures that lurk at the bottom of the ocean. Thankfully, they'll never survive on land. 

Abandonment

Some people hate saying goodbye and the fear they may never see that person again. This can stem from being left behind in childhood or a really tough relationship. 

Sleep Paralysis
