Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo celebrated 12 years of marriage with affectionate photos from St. Tropez, but their anniversary has also brought renewed attention to the 2022 messaging scandal that threatened their relationship.
Unnamed sources quoted by the Daily Mail claim Levine has spent the past several years repairing his reputation and changing behavior that had affected his marriage, career and public image.
Levine and Prinsloo married in Mexico on July 19, 2014.
Photos from their latest St. Tropez vacation, published by Page Six, showed the couple hugging on a yacht and spending time in the water with daughters Dusty Rose and Gio Grace.

One source claimed the controversy damaged Levine’s ego, public standing and earning potential, prompting him to reconsider how he approached fame. The source described Levine as a “super weird guy” and claimed he had “not handled fame well.” The source also claimed the Maroon 5 singer was not “warm and fuzzy” in earlier years.
The insider said he eventually understood that the entertainment industry would not continue accommodating his behavior and that he risked losing the career and lifestyle he had built.
The outlet also quoted insiders who claimed the 2022 scandal forced Levine to reassess how he handled his marriage, reputation and career. Levine has not publicly responded to the new unnamed-source claims.
Why Sources Say Prinsloo Remained in the Marriage
The same report claimed Prinsloo found Levine’s flirtations with other women painful but stayed because she remained strongly attached to him. Prinsloo has never publicly offered that explanation or released a detailed account of how the couple worked through the scandal.
The controversy began in September 2022 when model Sumner Stroh claimed she had been involved with Levine and published screenshots of messages she attributed to him. Other women subsequently shared exchanges they said they had received from the singer.
Levine denied having an affair but acknowledged using “poor judgment” by speaking to women other than his wife in a flirtatious manner. He said he had crossed a line, accepted responsibility and was taking steps to address the situation with his family.
Prinsloo was pregnant with the couple’s third child when the allegations became public. She continued appearing with Levine afterward and supported him during his return to the stage, but did not directly address the individual claims.

Levine marked the anniversary with an Instagram post dedicated to Prinsloo. “Twelve years married to my favorite human,” he wrote. “I love you… over and over again for the rest of my life.”
The couple welcomed Dusty Rose in 2016, Gio Grace in 2018 and a son in January 2023. They have not publicly disclosed their son’s name.
