Bruce Willis was part of daughter Tallulah Willis’ wedding weekend in a rare new family photograph showing the actor alongside the bride and her new husband, musician Justin Acee.

PEOPLE reported that Vogue shared the black-and-white image on Aug. 14 as part of an extensive look inside the celebration. Tallulah leans against her father in the photograph while Acee holds Bruce’s hand. She described it as “a tender moment with my dad and Justin at the start of wedding weekend.”

Tallulah, 32, and Acee married on Aug. 8 at her family’s home in Hailey, Idaho. The couple began dating in January 2023 and became engaged in December 2024.

Bruce, 71, has largely remained outside the public spotlight since his family announced his aphasia diagnosis in 2022 and later disclosed that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

In Vogue’s wedding feature, Tallulah described the family’s Idaho property as the place where she learned to “run free” and developed the imaginative side of herself. She said Acee had spent enough time there that he had become part of the fabric of the property as well.

The ceremony took place on a small island in the backyard, connected to the rest of the property by a wooden bridge. Tallulah got ready in her mother Demi Moore’s bedroom before stylist Brad Goreski accompanied her toward the ceremony. He walked her as far as the bridge, where Tallulah continued on her own toward Acee.

The celebration brought together several members of the Willis-Moore family. Vogue’s photographs include Moore and Tallulah’s sisters Rumer Willis and Scout Willis alongside the bride, as well as the newly released image with Bruce.

The Bruce photograph was taken at the beginning of the wedding weekend. Tallulah wore a simple white Alaïa dress in the image, while her father appeared in a fedora and short-sleeved button-up shirt and Acee wore a relaxed suit with a rose boutonniere.

Tallulah Once Wrote About What Her Father’s Illness Could Mean for Her Wedding

Tallulah had previously written openly about imagining a future wedding as her father’s health changed. In a deeply personal 2023 Vogue essay, she recalled attending a wedding on Martha’s Vineyard in 2021 and becoming emotional while listening to the bride’s father give a speech.

She wrote that she suddenly believed she might never experience the version of a wedding she had once imagined, including hearing her father speak about her as an adult. Overwhelmed, she left the dinner table and cried outside.

By that point, Tallulah had already sensed that something was changing with her father, although the family did not publicly announce his aphasia diagnosis until March 2022. In February 2023, they revealed that his condition had progressed and that doctors had given him a more specific diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.

Tallulah’s 2023 essay also described a shift in how she approached their time together. She said she began documenting ordinary moments, taking photographs, saving his voicemails and trying to remain present with him.

Tallulah Wore a Balenciaga Gown That Took 712 Hours

Tallulah changed into a custom Balenciaga couture gown by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli for the ceremony. The strapless silk satin design featured a sculptural neckline, dramatic draping and a bow at the back. The neckline drew inspiration from a Balenciaga look Moore had previously worn to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

According to Vogue, the finished bridal look required 712 hours of work. That included 405 hours devoted to construction and atelier alterations, while individually beaded organza petals were hand-applied as part of the detailing.

The gown was one of Piccioli’s first bridal creations since becoming Balenciaga’s creative director. Tallulah told Vogue that what mattered most to her was the dress’s sense of scale and magic, describing it as the garment carrying her toward her new husband.

Moore also arranged a surprise that Tallulah and Acee did not know was coming. During the ceremony, officiant Jeremy O. Harris departed from what the couple expected and announced that someone special had prepared something for them.

Tallulah said she immediately looked toward Moore, who was smiling, before a guitar began playing over the speakers and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s voice followed.

Martin had recorded a personalized song for the newlyweds, beginning with a reference to Tallulah and Justin walking down the aisle. Tallulah had already chosen Coldplay’s “A Message” as the song for her own walk toward the ceremony moments earlier.

Tallulah told Vogue that she had loved Coldplay since middle school and said she and Acee began laughing when they realized what Moore had arranged. “My mom pulled off something incredible by facilitating this surprise, this gift,” she said, adding that she would never forget the moment.
