Christian Hogue has responded after photographs from a group yacht trip in Mallorca led social-media users to claim that he was dating Pedro Pascal or had been paid to accompany the actor.
The 34-year-old model was photographed talking and laughing with Pascal aboard a luxury yacht off the coast of Spain on July 28th.
Jason Bateman, Judd Apatow and several other friends were also aboard, but some online discussion focused on photographs showing Hogue and Pascal together.
Hogue denied both claims in a since-deleted Instagram comment, saying he had been welcomed onto the yacht as a friend. Pascal has not addressed the speculation.

“I really don’t need to explain myself here but I am going to,” he wrote in the comment reproduced by Just Jared. “Many of you are spinning this into something it’s not and it’s just sad.”
“I am not gay nor am I for hire,” Hogue continued. “I have been welcomed to this boat as a friend for many years.” He criticized how quickly people had drawn conclusions from the photographs, writing that the claims “couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
The original Instagram comment appears to have been deleted, but screenshots continued circulating on X and were reproduced by entertainment outlets.

The speculation began after TMZ published photographs from the Mallorca outing. The images showed Hogue and Pascal talking and laughing on the deck. Pascal was also photographed swimming and performing flips into the water.
They were not vacationing alone. Bateman and Apatow were among the other people photographed aboard the yacht. Hogue said he had joined the boat as a friend and rejected the idea that his presence revealed a romantic or financial arrangement with Pascal.
Hogue Has Modeled Since He Was 15
Hogue began working as a model at 15 after growing up in Oregon. According to his professional biography, he moved to New York with two duffel bags after signing with IMD and began pursuing international assignments.
His portfolio includes work for Vera Wang, Guess, Diesel, Versace, Davidoff and Mackage. He has also appeared in publications including Vogue Italia, Cosmopolitan and GQ Style Russia.
Hogue’s modeling career began nearly two decades before the Mallorca trip, although the yacht photographs introduced him to many people who primarily follow Pascal’s acting career.
