“It happened a couple of weeks ago, and I’m already starting to feel better,” Hall wrote. He added that the transplant was, according to his doctors, a “complete success.”
He Said More Music Is Coming
Hall told fans he should be “back to normal” in a few months. He also teased more music and more episodes of Live from Daryl’s House, the performance series he has hosted for years.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Hall ended the message with an upbeat note, telling fans to “get ready for more music” and more Daryl’s House.
Hall acknowledged the seriousness of the transplant, but he also made clear that he is planning for life after it.
Hall Has Spoken About Health Struggles Before
Hall has previously been open about Lyme disease. People reported that he contracted it in 2000 and was diagnosed in 2006, after dealing with symptoms that affected his ability to perform.
Entertainment Weekly noted that Hall has described the illness as unpredictable, with symptoms that could include tremors, headaches and fatigue.
His Career Has Spanned Decades
Hall remains best known for his work with John Oates. Together, Hall & Oates released 18 studio albums between 1972 and 2006 and became one of pop music’s most successful duos, with hits including “Maneater,” “Out of Touch” and “You Make My Dreams.”
Hall has also kept releasing solo music. His 2024 album D marked another chapter in a career that has moved between radio hits, solo records and the long-running Live from Daryl’s House format.
