Drake has added another major Billboard milestone to a career already defined by chart records.
His new single “Janice STFU” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving him 14 career No. 1 songs and moving him past Michael Jackson for the most Hot 100 chart-toppers by a solo male artist. PEOPLE reported that Jackson had held the mark with 13 No. 1 singles.
The record came during a massive release week for Drake. PEOPLE reported that his three May 2026 albums, ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR, also debuted across the top three positions on the Billboard 200.
“Janice STFU” Gave Drake His 14th Hot 100 No. 1
Drake had been tied with Jackson at 13 No. 1 songs since “First Person Shooter,” his 2023 collaboration with J. Cole, reached the top of the Hot 100. “Janice STFU” broke that tie and put Drake alone at the top among solo male artists.
The Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week of May 30, 2026, lists “Janice STFU” at No. 1. The result turned the song into more than another Drake hit; it became the track that moved him past one of pop music’s most famous chart benchmarks.
Michael Jackson Held the Solo Male Record for Decades
Jackson’s run of Hot 100 No. 1 songs began with “Ben” in 1972 and continued through hits such as “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Bad,” “Black or White,” and “You Are Not Alone.”
Passing Jackson on any Billboard measure carries obvious attention because Jackson’s chart legacy has been part of pop history for generations. The comparison is also limited by era: Jackson’s biggest years were shaped by radio, physical singles, MTV, and slower album cycles, while Drake’s chart dominance has unfolded in the streaming era.
Drake’s Three-Album Release Drove a Bigger Chart Takeover
The single was only one part of Drake’s chart week. Revolt reported that 42 Drake songs appeared on the Hot 100 dated May 30, 2026, after the release of ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR.
PEOPLE reported that the 42-song total broke Morgan Wallen’s previous single-week record of 37 Hot 100 entries. Drake also held nine of the chart’s top 10 spots that week.
Drake Also Passed 400 Career Hot 100 Entries
The same week pushed Drake past another Billboard threshold. PEOPLE reported that his total expanded to 402 career Hot 100 entries, making him the first artist to pass 400 appearances in the chart’s history.
That number shows how different Drake’s chart era is from Jackson’s. Drake’s biggest releases can send dozens of tracks onto the Hot 100 at once, while Jackson’s singles were released into a music business built around tighter radio and retail windows.
Drake Reacted With a Michael Jackson-Themed Post
Drake appeared to acknowledge the milestone on Instagram with an altered image of Jackson in an icy setting, tying the post to his ICEMAN era. His caption included the lines, “Records broken carry on my name / Carry on carry on,” according to PEOPLE.
The post made clear that Drake understood the symbolic weight of the record. He has referenced Jackson before in his music and public image, and this milestone put their names together again in a very specific Billboard category.
The Record Adds to Drake’s Billboard Run

Drake’s latest achievement does not erase Jackson’s place in pop history or make the two careers easy to compare one-to-one. Their peaks came in different industries, with different release strategies, chart rules, and ways of reaching listeners.
The Billboard number is still clear. With “Janice STFU,” Drake now has more Hot 100 No. 1 songs than any other solo male artist.
