Elizabeth Olsen appears to have quietly welcomed her first child with husband Robbie Arnett, continuing the intensely private approach the couple has taken to some of their biggest personal milestones.

The WandaVision star was photographed walking in Los Angeles on August 15 with an infant strapped to her chest in a white baby carrier, according to Page Six. Olsen wore a wide-brimmed hat and held a green hat near the baby’s head while Arnett walked alongside them.

The outing comes just two months after news broke that the 37-year-old actress was expecting her first child. Olsen never publicly announced the pregnancy herself, and neither she nor Arnett has announced the baby’s birth, name, sex or date of birth.

Olsen and Arnett also kept their marriage quiet until she casually referred to him as her husband during a 2021 interview, later revealing that they had eloped before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Olsen Was Seen With an Infant After Keeping Her Pregnancy Private

The new Los Angeles photographs are the clearest indication yet that the couple’s first child has arrived. Olsen carried the infant against her chest during the walk, while Arnett wore shorts, a turquoise long-sleeved shirt and sneakers.

Page Six also reported that Olsen had been photographed in Southern California on August 7 without a visible baby bump. PEOPLE reported in June that Olsen was expecting her first baby with Arnett after she was photographed during a Los Angeles lunch outing with a visible baby bump that she was seen gently cradling.

She Had Been Thinking About Motherhood for Years

Although Olsen kept this pregnancy out of the spotlight, she had spoken years earlier about trying to determine where motherhood might fit alongside her career.

During a 2021 SiriusXM interview about her work schedule, Olsen wondered aloud, “At what point do I get pregnant? At what point do I have my first baby?” She questioned whether that milestone might still be five years away and acknowledged that she had a limited window in which to make the decision.

She had also taken the question directly to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Olsen recalled asking when she should think about conceiving a child while navigating the demands of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Olsen, Feige told her, “You live your life and we’ll work around you,” an answer she described as the best response a boss could give.

Her outlook on marriage and children also changed after meeting Arnett. During a December 2025 appearance on the Dear Chelsea podcast, Olsen said she had not known before their relationship whether she would even want to marry or have children.

She said that within about six months of dating Arnett, she could already imagine them sharing the house she was renovating and wanted him involved in making decisions about the space. Olsen described him as the greatest support in her life.

Olsen and Arnett Have Kept Their Biggest Milestones Quiet

Olsen and Arnett, a musician with the band Milo Greene, have been together since 2017. They became engaged in 2019, but even their marriage happened without a public announcement at the time.

Olsen inadvertently revealed their marital status when she referred to Arnett as her husband during a 2021 installment of Variety’s Actors on Actors. She confirmed the story the following year on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, explaining that the couple had eloped before the COVID-19 pandemic and later held another wedding celebration.

“We eloped and then we had a wedding at another time,” Olsen said, adding that she simply had never talked publicly about it. Olsen told PEOPLE in 2025 that she and Arnett “definitely” preferred quiet date nights, with their ideal evening involving cooking at home and watching a movie.
