Jennifer Lopez’s latest attempt to sell the Beverly Hills mansion she purchased with Ben Affleck has reportedly fallen apart days after a mystery buyer entered escrow.

The unnamed buyer withdrew despite placing what was described as a “substantial” deposit, according to a Daily Mail report. TMZ also reported that the buyer backed out Tuesday for an unknown reason.

News of the collapsed deal arrived only two days after listing agent Branden Williams confirmed that Lopez had accepted an offer.

Williams described the prospective buyer as a well-known figure working in technology and finance but declined to reveal his name or the amount offered.

Lopez and Affleck listed the mansion publicly for $68 million in July 2024, shortly before Lopez filed for divorce. The price fell to $59.95 million in May 2025 before the former couple removed the home from the market that July.

They relisted it for $52 million in September 2025, then withdrew the listing again in January. After Affleck reportedly transferred his interest in the property to Lopez through an amended divorce settlement, she returned it to the market in May for $49.995 million.

The current asking price is more than $18 million below the original listing and nearly $11 million less than the amount Lopez and Affleck paid. Those figures do not include the millions they reportedly spent renovating the estate or the taxes, commissions and other expenses attached to a future sale.

Lopez has also purchased an approximately $18 million home in Hidden Hills. Reports have said that property is undergoing renovations, while she has continued using the Beverly Hills residence.

The Mansion Has Already Lost Another Prospective Buyer

In September 2024, Lopez and Affleck were said to have accepted a $64 million offer from a New Jersey couple before the buyers withdrew from escrow following a death in their family.

The Beverly Crest estate sits on about 5.2 acres and contains approximately 38,000 square feet of interior space, with 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. Separate structures include a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker residence and a two-bedroom guardhouse.

Its indoor sports complex contains basketball and pickleball courts, a gym, boxing ring, sports lounge and bar. The grounds also include a zero-edge swimming pool, while the garage can hold 12 vehicles and additional parking can accommodate dozens more.

The latest listing photographs show many of the rooms cleared of Lopez’s personal belongings, including the mansion’s large walk-in closet.
