Kelly Osbourne says she has gained two stone, or 28 pounds, since her appearance at the 2026 BRIT Awards, following months in which grief affected her ability to eat and look after herself.
The 41-year-old television personality shared the update in an interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, published Oct. 10. She said she had not understood the extent of her weight loss until she saw photographs from the ceremony. “I was as shocked as everyone else,” she said.
Her father, Ozzy Osbourne, died on July 22, 2025, at age 76. Kelly also faced the end of her engagement to musician Sid Wilson earlier this year.
She has since settled back in England with their three-year-old son, Sidney. Kelly said she wants him to have a different upbringing from her own, after initially imagining that he would grow up traveling with his father’s band.
Kelly Attended the BRIT Awards to Honor Her Father
Kelly attended the Feb. 28 ceremony in Manchester with her mother, Sharon Osbourne, who accepted Ozzy’s posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award. Dolly Parton introduced the honor through a recorded message, according to the BRIT Awards.
During her Sept. 15 appearance on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need to Talk, Kelly said comments about her body had overshadowed the recognition of her father’s career. She discussed the effect that years of public scrutiny had had on her confidence and mental health.
She Says Eating Made Her Feel Nauseated
In the Fabulous interview, Kelly rejected speculation that an eating disorder explained her appearance. She said she had been struggling with ordinary acts of self-care while grieving.
“Eating made me feel like I wanted to throw up,” she said.
Kelly also described the frustration of having her body criticized at different sizes throughout her life. She wanted people commenting on her appearance to consider circumstances they could not see, particularly the pain she was experiencing privately.
She denied having undergone plastic surgery, while acknowledging Botox injections between her eyebrows and in her jaw. She said the jaw injections were connected to teeth grinding and migraines.
In her earlier conversation with Brunson, Kelly disclosed that she had returned to drinking after Ozzy’s death. She said she was eight months sober at the time of that September interview, People reported.
Sharon Introduced Her to a Therapist During a Difficult Period
Kelly recalled visiting her father’s grave when she felt overwhelmed and was worried about her son seeing her in that state. She brought a white candle and wrote “Please help me” on it as part of a ritual reflecting her spiritual beliefs.
She said Ozzy had told her he would send her messages after his death. The day after her visit, Sharon arrived in a black Mercedes with Chris Miller, whom Kelly described as a therapist and life coach.
Kelly initially thought her mother was arranging for her to enter rehabilitation. Instead, she began working with Miller and credits him with helping her regain control of her life. She praised his directness and willingness to challenge her behavior.
Miller also encouraged her to find hobbies outside work and introduced her to falconry. Kelly said flying hawks, owls and eagles gave her a feeling of peace she had not experienced since her father died.
Sidney Now Attends the Same School Kelly Went To
Sidney attends the English country school that Kelly went to before her family moved to Los Angeles. She has become involved in PTA meetings, school events and parents’ WhatsApp groups, regularly volunteering to help.
At home, Kelly said she was trying to incubate two black swan eggs and planned to add goats, miniature donkeys and miniature cows to the property. She was also building an aviary while continuing her falconry training.
Her professional plans include a clothing line for boys, a makeup brand, a podcast and two television projects. She also said she was developing a three-part documentary about mental health and her own experiences.
Kelly said she intends to continue her charitable work in Birmingham, where Ozzy grew up, and has further plans for the city that she is not yet ready to announce.
