Kim Kardashian has spent years putting together elaborate Halloween costumes, but this time she found her inspiration at home. She dressed as her eldest daughter, 13-year-old North West.
Kardashian unveiled the costume on Instagram on Tuesday, October 20, getting started well before Halloween. She captioned the post “Halloween 2026🧟♀️”.
She copied North’s poses as well as her wardrobe, lifting her hands to partly cover her face. The collection included the casual, sometimes blurry shots familiar from her daughter’s social media posts.
The black T-shirt featured the cover of North’s debut EP, N0rth4evr, as InStyle noted. The six-song release arrived on May 1, according to its Apple Music listing.

A long turquoise wig framed Kardashian’s face, with dramatic lashes, dark makeup, black grills and imitation facial piercings completing the transformation. The hair fell straight past her shoulders, resembling the bright style North has worn throughout the year.
Under the graphic shirt, Kardashian wore black-and-white striped sleeves. A jeweled skull-and-crossbones pendant hung from one chunky necklace, while spiked bracelets covered her wrists. Her long, pointed nails combined dark colors with metallic decorations.
North Explained That Her Cheek and Nose Accessories Were Temporary
Days earlier, North had answered questions about the facial jewelry she was wearing during a TikTok livestream with her mother. Screen recordings circulated on October 15, with PEOPLE documenting the exchange.
“Guys, these piercings are not real,” North told viewers, moving closer to show the accessories on her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. Kim questioned why people assumed they were permanent when their placement kept changing.
North said she wanted a real bridge piercing when she was older, although she wasn’t currently allowed to get one and was concerned about scarring. Her mother offered a simpler arrangement: “We can glue on for now.”
The teenager also objected to comments linking her clothes to supposed “demonic” beliefs. She asked viewers not to judge her character by her appearance and said she believed in Jesus.
Kim Turned North’s Fashion Ideas Into Schoolwork
During a January appearance on her sister’s podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, Kardashian challenged the idea that North’s freedom with fashion meant she had no boundaries. “Northy actually has a lot of rules,” she said, according to the show’s network, Dear Media.
She recalled photographs of North experimenting with green braids and a fake septum ring as a young child. Kim said clothing and appearance were areas where she allowed her daughter to express herself.
That interest had also become part of North’s homeschooling. When she wanted to make hats and jewelry, Kim helped turn the idea into coursework involving a website, a budget, shopping for materials and learning to sew. Her music sessions supplied another assignment, Kim used lyric writing for spelling tests.
Kardashian said she had taken six months off to become more involved in homeschooling and that North wanted her help with the projects. “I’ve now added like a teacher to my role,” she said.
Kim’s Halloween History Includes Clueless and an Albino Alligator
For Halloween 2023, the pair recreated the school outfits from Clueless. Kim wore Cher’s yellow plaid suit and blonde hair, while North dressed as Dionne in black-and-white plaid with a hat. They posed beside a white Jeep, echoing the car Cher drives in the 1995 comedy.
In 2024, Kim became an albino alligator with white scales and a prosthetic tail, a look created with Alexis Stone. The following year, Kris Jenner joined Kim and North for costumes based on comedy TikTok creators.
Kim played Jay Guapõ with fake facial hair and tattoos, North portrayed Pink Cardigan, and Jenner wore a red wig as Chrissy G. The videos appeared on Kim and North’s shared account on October 24, 2025.
