Kylie Jenner has spent about six years building her Hidden Hills dream home. She is finally taking viewers inside the unfinished property herself.

The 29-year-old bought the five acre parcel for $15 million in 2020 and showed the construction site in a new YouTube vlog. Jenner said she had not planned to document the project but changed her mind after so much of the house had already appeared online.

Jenner calls it her “beautiful dream Italian home.” The tour moves from a reclaimed cobblestone driveway and olive trees outside to reclaimed wood floors, unfinished cabinetry, fireplaces and stonework still being installed indoors.

Kylie also wants the outside spaces to feel lived in from the start, with a rose garden, sports court and an entertaining area built around a fountain and pizza oven.

Kylie Filled the Entrance With Lavender and Olive Trees

Jenner begins the property tour outside, where reclaimed cobblestone runs along the driveway and lavender surrounds mature olive trees near the entrance.

She said landscaper Jim Hyatt worked on the grounds and referenced his work at California’s San Ysidro Ranch while describing the look she wanted. “It’s lavender which will grow in way more by the time I move in and these old ancient olives for the entry, which I’m obsessed with,” she said.

Some of the smaller olive trees came from Kendall Jenner. Kylie said her sister was doing construction at one of her own homes and needed to remove them, so she offered to take them. “It reminds me of my sister every time I look at them,” she said.

Another section of the property is being reserved for roses. Jenner said she wants the garden because she “just wants to be a princess.”

She Is Still Choosing Finishes Inside

Much of the interior remains unfinished. Jenner showed reclaimed wood flooring, plaster samples and an old fireplace sitting in pieces before installation near the entry.

Old brick will be used around the fireplace, while the kitchen cabinetry was still waiting for its final stain. Jenner walked through guest bathrooms with stone finishes and vintage style tile and stopped to consider different colors for the main living areas.

The tour also included a basement gym and a spa. Outside, Jenner showed the gravel sports court and the area planned for dinners and birthdays around a fountain and pizza oven.

The $15 Million Property Was Vacant When She Bought It

Jenner purchased the Hidden Hills property in 2020 as a vacant five acre lot. Architectural Digest reported at the time that the land had previously belonged to Miley Cyrus, who had used it as an equestrian property.

The sale came with approved plans for an 18,000 square foot main residence, a 12 car garage, guesthouse, barn, sports court and pool. Architectural Digest noted that it was not known whether Jenner would build according to that exact package.

Construction was visibly underway by early 2023. Her new vlog concentrates on the features she has personally selected rather than presenting the original permit plans as the final specifications of the house.

Jenner Says She Is Ready to Move In

Jenner recently told Who What Wear that she had changed her mind about wanting an increasingly enormous lifestyle. She recalled buying the “craziest house” she could when she was younger and later feeling that her life had become too big.

The Hidden Hills project remains under construction, and Jenner did not announce a move in date during the vlog.

“I’m so excited,” she said at the end of the tour. “I feel like I’ve been working on this for so long and I’m just ready for it to be done and to move in.”
