Kylie Jenner is reportedly frustrated by talk that Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi could marry before she and Timothée Chalamet do. The claim comes from an unnamed source in an October 21 report by Page Six.
Kylie, 29, has been dating Chalamet since 2023. Kendall, 30, and Elordi were publicly linked this spring.
The report arrived three days after Chalamet watched Kylie make her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut. Her mother, Kris Jenner, was also there to support her, according to PEOPLE.
Neither couple has announced an engagement. Page Six said representatives for all four did not respond to its requests for comment.
Chalamet Is Reportedly Not Ready to Propose
The insider says Kylie has made her interest in an engagement clear to Chalamet and sees marriage in their future. She has not issued an ultimatum or demanded a ring, according to the account.
The source characterized Chalamet as in love with Kylie and invested in their relationship, but not ready to take that step. Kylie is described as hoping he will eventually share her expectations.
Elordi, meanwhile, was portrayed as more certain about a long-term future with Kendall. The source said the “Euphoria” actor believes he has found “the one” and described their relationship as progressing quickly.
Kendall and Elordi Spent the Academy Museum Gala Together
Kendall and Elordi posed individually at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17.
Elordi took candid photographs of Kendall as her dress was adjusted. Kendall waited with Kim Kardashian and Hailey Bieber while Elordi posed for photographers.
She wore a black-and-white polka-dot Valentino dress with Cartier jewelry. Elordi wore a custom Bottega Veneta tuxedo, a white shirt and sunglasses. The pair were also photographed sitting together at dinner inside the event.
The Two Couples Went on a Double Date in May
Kendall and Elordi joined Kylie and Chalamet for a night out in Los Angeles on May 16. Photographs published by DeuxMoi showed Kendall and Elordi in the front of a car, with Kylie and Chalamet in the back. Members of the group covered their faces as photographers took pictures.
In a May 18 report, a separate source told PEOPLE that Kylie liked Elordi and was excited about Kendall’s relationship. That source said the four got along and enjoyed being together.
Chalamet and Elordi also knew each other before Kendall began dating the Australian actor, according to that account. Their careers had brought them into the same Hollywood awards-season circles.
Chalamet Has Spoken Publicly About Love and Marriage
Chalamet thanked Kylie while accepting the best actor award for “Marty Supreme” at the January 4 Critics Choice Awards, as InStyle reported.
“Thank you for our foundation. I love you, I couldn’t do this without you,” he said.
During a February 1 “Marty Supreme” Q&A at London’s Prince Charles Cinema, filmmaker Richard Curtis asked whether Chalamet had a girlfriend. He answered yes, according to PEOPLE’s account.
Curtis then asked whether he thought he would ever marry.
“Wow … that’s so personal,” Chalamet replied. Curtis followed up by asking whether they could attend.
“You’re going to get me in trouble, man,” Chalamet said, before answering, “Yes. Yes.”
