Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene returned to the Louisiana bayou where their marriage began, at least through the photographs and video they chose to share for their second anniversary.
The singer and her husband marked two years of marriage on Sept. 26 with separate social-media tributes filled with images from their September 2024 wedding and quieter moments from the life they have built since.
PEOPLE reported that Del Rey’s carousel included new footage of the couple kissing beneath the floral arch during their ceremony, along with a black-and-white image of them together on a boat afterward.
Her message to Dufrene was just as personal. Del Rey thanked him for making every place she had lived feel like home again and included his family in the tribute, while Dufrene answered with his own collection of photographs and called her his “most Beautiful and Precious lil wife.”

Del Rey’s anniversary carousel returned directly to the couple’s Sept. 26, 2024 wedding in Des Allemands, Louisiana. She also included a photograph with members of Dufrene’s family, making the post as much about the people around them as the wedding itself.
PEOPLE previously reported that the ceremony took place on the same bayou where Dufrene works as an airboat captain and where he and Del Rey first met years earlier.
During the couple’s first anniversary in 2025, ELLE likewise noted that they married in Des Allemands and described the setting as the place where their connection originally began.

Dufrene’s anniversary post moved beyond the ceremony. His carousel included another wedding-day image of the pair holding hands at the altar, but most of the photographs showed the relationship in less formal settings. “Happy Anniversary to the most Beautiful and Precious lil wife,” he wrote. “I love you so much.”
E! News described photos of the couple together in a small plane, outside a green house, against a wooded backdrop and on a tour bus. Dufrene and Del Rey have kept much of their married life outside the usual celebrity cycle. Their occasional public appearances have attracted attention, but both have shared more about the relationship through small domestic details than through constant red carpets or interviews.
They First Met on One of Dufrene’s Bayou Tours
Del Rey and Dufrene’s history stretches back well before they became a public couple. In a 2025 W Magazine interview, Del Rey explained that she first met Dufrene in Louisiana in 2019 when she joined one of the boat tours he leads through the bayou. They reconnected years later and married in September 2024.
Del Rey said the connection felt immediate when they found their way back to each other, even though she worried the intensity and scrutiny surrounding her public life might make the relationship difficult. Dufrene’s response, she recalled, was that working with alligators had given him “tough skin,” and she described him as someone who remained calm when she felt overwhelmed.

Del Rey has spoken sparingly about the marriage, but when she has, her descriptions have been unusually direct. She told W Magazine that Dufrene is “the most impactful person in my life,” adding that he tends to be quiet around other people but talks constantly when they are alone.
She also revealed that “Stars Fell on Alabama” was written about him, making Dufrene part of the personal material feeding into her music as well as her life in Louisiana. By the time of the interview, the couple was spending most of its time there while still traveling to Los Angeles and elsewhere for Del Rey’s work.
