Michael Strahan is reportedly a dad again.

The Good Morning America co-anchor and longtime girlfriend Kayla Quick welcomed a baby girl earlier this year, TMZ reported on Aug. 27. Sources with direct knowledge told the outlet that the child is the couple’s first together.

TMZ did not report the baby’s name or exact birthday. A representative for Strahan had no comment.

Strahan, 54, already has four children, and he has talked about being a father far more often than he has discussed his relationship with Quick. “My kids give me strength,” he told PEOPLE in 2016. “I love being with the kids. To me, it’s all about family, now more than anything.”

His Family Already Spans Two Generations

His two oldest children, Tanita and Michael Jr., are from his marriage to Wanda Hutchins. Twins Isabella and Sophia, both 21, are from his marriage to Jean Muggli. Tanita was born in Germany in 1991, and Michael Jr. followed in 1994. After Strahan and Hutchins divorced, the children spent part of their childhood living with their mother in Germany.

Strahan told PEOPLE that staying involved meant a lot of time on planes and phones. “You make time for what you want to make time for,” he said.

The family grew again in September 2024 when Tanita welcomed a son named Onyx, making Strahan a grandfather for the first time. He announced the news while working on Fox NFL Sunday and said Tanita was doing “fantastic.” Two days later, the new grandfather was talking about Onyx again on Good Morning America.

“It is amazing,” Strahan said. “I am so excited. I’m so happy. A great addition to the family.”

By then, the Strahans had already been through a much harder stretch together. Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in late 2023 after doctors discovered a malignant brain tumor. She underwent emergency surgery and continued treatment at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center.

Quick had been around for happier family moments before that, including Isabella and Sophia’s high school graduation in 2023. Strahan later told PEOPLE that during Isabella’s treatment he kept trying “to find the silver lining somewhere” and believed there had to be “some light at the end of the tunnel.” Isabella finished chemotherapy and announced in June 2024 that she was cancer-free.

Quick Has Been With Strahan Since 2015

Strahan and Quick have been linked since May 2015, but they have said very little publicly about their relationship. They have never shared how they met.

Quick did join Strahan in Los Angeles in January 2023 when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They posed together after the unveiling and were photographed kissing. The ceremony also brought several members of Strahan’s family together. His mother, Louise, and daughters Tanita, Isabella and Sophia were among those there as he received the first star in the Walk of Fame’s Sports Entertainment category.

Quick has a background in business, nutrition and culinary studies. She attended the University of Tampa and later studied at the International Culinary Center and Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. She is also a co-founder of the wellness supplement company FIZZNESS.

She has stayed off social media herself, although she has appeared in campaigns for 100 Coconuts, a coconut water company in which Strahan is an investor.

Strahan, meanwhile, received a Father of the Year Award from the National Father’s Day Committee in 2017. “I love being a father,” he told PEOPLE at the time. “It’s absolutely the most joy you’re going to have in your life. It’s also the most stress you’re going to have.” Nine years later, his family reportedly has one more daughter.
