Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are officially parents of two, and their newest addition has already made his first family photo album.

The couple announced the news about a baby boy in a joint Instagram post on October 10, PEOPLE reported. They revealed in May that baby was already on the way.

The arrival comes during football season for McCaffrey, the 30-year-old San Francisco 49ers running back.

Culpo and McCaffrey married in Rhode Island in June 2024, a year after getting engaged, according to Vogue, and also welcomed Colette in July 2025.

The couple named their son Roman Augustus McCaffrey and revealed that he was born on September 29, 11 days before they announced his arrival. He joins older sister Colette Annalise, who is 14 months old.

“Heart is exploding,” Culpo wrote when she shared the announcement on Instagram Stories. The hospital photographs included McCaffrey beside her and Colette meeting her younger brother.

The couple had kept their baby’s sex a surprise until the birth, Page Six reported. They had taken the same approach while expecting Colette.

The announcement also revealed who would be Roman’s godfather. In the comments, Kyle Juszczyk wrote, “Roman, it is an honor to be your God father. Love, Uncle Juice,” according to Heavy. His wife, Kristin Juszczyk, added, “We love you so much Rome.” The 49ers’ official account also congratulated the parents.

Culpo Planned the Delivery Around McCaffrey’s NFL Schedule

Before Roman’s arrival, Culpo had explained how she hoped to make sure McCaffrey could attend the birth while fulfilling his football commitments.

In a July 23 TikTok covered by PEOPLE, she said she planned to have a scheduled C-section after delivering Colette by cesarean the previous summer. “Basically, it’s on an off day for him, so he’ll be able to come just for the birth,” she explained.

Culpo expected McCaffrey to return to work afterward, giving him less time away from football than he had when their daughter was born. She said the family’s adjustment to his schedule would begin with training camp in late July, ahead of the regular-season games.

Culpo revealed she was expecting again on May 8, her 34th birthday, less than a year after becoming a mother. “Best birthday gift ❤️ Baby #2 coming soon,” she captioned a joint Instagram post with McCaffrey.

In June, Culpo shared a video of the moment she and McCaffrey learned she was pregnant, PEOPLE reported. The two turned over a pregnancy test to see the result, prompting McCaffrey to say, “You’re pregnant!”

They brought Colette into the family announcements, using a message on her onesie to tell relatives. They also surprised family members by getting them to say the pregnancy news while posing for a photograph.

Culpo Used Baby Dolls to Prepare Colette for Her Brother

As the birth approached, Culpo began introducing Colette to the idea of caring for a baby. In an August interview with PEOPLE, she said she had been giving her daughter baby dolls.

Colette loved them, although Culpo wasn’t sure she understood that a sibling was coming. Culpo also described the people helping her balance parenting and work. Her mother and in-laws assisted with childcare, while fellow 49ers partners provided support as she managed her family and business responsibilities.

For Culpo, the middle of five children, giving Colette a sibling was something she particularly looked forward to. “I’m so close with my siblings, and I’m excited to give that gift to my daughter,” she said.
