Olivia Jade Giannulli and Taylor Fritz are reportedly giving romance a shot after months of sightings that began when sources were still insisting the two were only friends.
The 26-year-old influencer and 28-year-old tennis star were photographed together in New York City on August 24, just days before Fritz begins his latest U.S. Open singles campaign. Sources have since told Page Six that the pair have been spending time together for a few months and have “really hit it off.”
The relationship is reportedly still casual. One source said Jade and Fritz are “not exclusive,” while another described “obvious chemistry” between them and said they are enjoying what is happening without trying to define where it is heading.
That marks a notable change from May, when the pair were first linked after being spotted together at The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood. At the time, sources close to the situation told TMZ there was “no romance” between them. Three months later, the outlet is now reporting that Jade and Fritz have begun spending time together “on a romantic level.”
Jade and Fritz Were Photographed Together in New York
PEOPLE reported that the two stepped out together in New York City on August 24, marking their first widely documented outing together since the dating speculation began in May.
Photographs showed the pair arriving at a building together. PEOPLE also reported that Jade was seen leaving alone the following morning.
TMZ offered additional details, citing eyewitnesses who said Fritz picked Jade up at her place over the weekend before the two headed to his hotel, where they were photographed arriving together.
Sources Say They Are Dating but ‘Not Exclusive’
“Olivia Jade and Taylor Fritz have been hanging out and enjoying their time together,” one source told Page Six. “They are not exclusive.”
The source said that had been happening for “a few months.” Another insider told the outlet that the two have “really hit it off,” are having “a lot of fun together” and share “an obvious chemistry.” “They really like each other, but they’re just enjoying where things are right now and seeing where it goes,” the source said.
TMZ’s reporting points in the same direction. Its sources said the two have recently been seeing each other romantically but are “taking things slow and enjoying their time together.”
In May, Sources Insisted There Was ‘No Romance’
Jade and Fritz first became the subject of dating speculation in early May after anonymous submissions to celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi claimed they had been seen “looking cozy” at The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood. TMZ investigated the rumors and published a May 7 report saying its sources were adamant that the two were not dating.
“Taylor and Olivia are NOT dating,” the outlet reported at the time, adding that Fritz was not looking to begin another relationship so soon after the end of his nearly six-year romance with Morgan Riddle. Sources characterized Jade as someone within Fritz’s large circle of friends and said there was “currently, no romance.”
The Rumors Followed Them to Tommy Paul and Paige Lorenze’s Wedding
Both Jade and Fritz attended fellow tennis player Tommy Paul’s July 14 wedding to influencer and entrepreneur Paige Lorenze at Old Westbury Gardens on Long Island. Fritz was one of Paul’s groomsmen, while Jade was also among the guests.
Page Six’s coverage of the wedding listed both among the attendees. Later reports went further, saying Fritz had brought Jade as his guest. Fritz later shared his own photographs and jokes about serving as a groomsman without addressing Jade or the dating speculation.

Fritz became single only shortly before the first Jade rumors surfaced. He and Riddle began dating in June 2020 and were together for nearly six years before splitting in April. PEOPLE confirmed the breakup, although its sources differed over whether Riddle ended the relationship or the split was mutual.
Riddle publicly acknowledged the breakup on April 25 by posting a photograph of herself wearing a “World’s Best Ex-Girlfriend” shirt. She later told Elle that she and Fritz remained on good terms but said she planned to “never date an athlete again.”
Jade’s romantic history with Jacob Elordi was more stop-and-start. The pair were first linked in late 2021 and dated on and off for several years.
PEOPLE initially reported another breakup in August 2025. Jade then supported Elordi at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, and a source subsequently confirmed that they were seeing each other again. That reunion was brief. By October, a source told PEOPLE, “It’s fully over. They are not getting back together.”

The official U.S. Open entry list includes Fritz among the leading American men in the field. He reached the championship match in New York in 2024, becoming the first American man to reach a Grand Slam singles final since 2009.
The 2026 U.S. Open has already begun its Fan Week and qualifying events, but the men’s and women’s singles main draws start Sunday, August 30.
