Olivia Wilde celebrated daughter Daisy’s 10th birthday on Oct. 11 by sharing rare family photos on Instagram Stories.

One black-and-white photograph showed the actress and director holding Daisy as a baby. “And this mama is in awe of her every day,” Wilde wrote, according to PEOPLE.

Daisy is Wilde’s younger child with former fiancé Jason Sudeikis. They also share son Otis, 12.

A photo-booth strip captured mother and daughter smiling together, with Daisy making a peace sign in one frame and their cheeks pressed together in another.

Wilde Paired Daisy’s Photos With Affectionate Captions

The birthday pictures included Daisy holding a camera in front of her face, which Wilde labeled “The coolest.” A photograph of Daisy touching noses with a dog earned “The sweetest,” while a picture of her pulling a face beside a large statue was captioned “The funniest.”

Another image showed Daisy wearing a white coat and oversized sunglasses with pink frames. “Happy birthday dream woman,” Wilde wrote, as reported by InStyle.

Wilde also included a photograph of Daisy against a pink floral backdrop at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival. “O Rod threw a whole fest for your 10th b day,” she joked. InStyle dated that festival appearance to Aug. 29, several weeks before the birthday.

Daisy Has Already Tried Directing Her Own Music Videos

Daisy wanted to become a director, Wilde told PEOPLE in May 2024. Mother and daughter watched music videos by Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Rodrigo, studying the direction before creating and editing Daisy’s own videos.

Asked whether she appeared in her daughter’s home movies, Wilde joked, “She would critique my choreography way too much.”

Both children played drums and sang, Wilde told PEOPLE in a separate January 2024 interview. She described herself, Daisy and Otis as a “big karaoke family” and called the children her “best friends.”

Daisy also had a small role in a poolside scene in her mother’s 2022 film, Don’t Worry Darling. Discussing the shoot with Vanity Fair that year, Wilde described balancing acting and directing while carrying her daughter on her hip. Between takes, she checked footage and handled production updates from the crew.

Wilde Says Shared Parenting Gives Her Time to Be Fully Present

Wilde and Sudeikis ended their relationship in 2020. During the June 17, 2026, episode of Call Her Daddy, she told host Alex Cooper that sharing parenting responsibilities gave her time to concentrate on her children and time to work while they were with their father.

According to PEOPLE’s account of the interview, Wilde described Sudeikis as a capable co-parent and said they worked well together after separating. “They get the best of us,” she said of their children.
