Priscilla Presley made a rare red-carpet appearance in Mallorca, Spain, hours after sharing a personal message about the hardships she has endured and what she wants from the next stage of her life.
The 81-year-old actress, author and businesswoman attended the 14th Remus Lifestyle Night on July 30.
Presley’s Instagram reflection and public appearance occurred on the same day, although she did not suggest that the video had been recorded specifically for the event.
The appearance was one of Presley’s few major public outings in recent months. In March, she traveled to Randers, Denmark, for appearances at Memphis Mansion, a museum and visitor attraction dedicated to Elvis Presley.
Presley Chose Head-to-Toe Red for the Mallorca Event
Presley attended the annual gathering at the Hilton Mallorca Galatzó in Calvià, where she posed with host and luxury real estate entrepreneur Marcel Remus. Other guests included Mischa Barton and Mónica Cruz, who joined Presley in a reserved section of the event after the red-carpet arrivals.
Presley wore a floor-length red dress with long sleeves and a wrap detail at the waist. She completed the monochromatic look with a matching handbag, red lipstick and straight auburn hair. Her accessories included several rings, a black watch and a crescent-shaped necklace.

Before attending the Mallorca event, Presley shared a video reflecting on the difficult experiences that have shaped her life. “I feel that I’ve experienced a lot in my life,” she said. “I’ve seen a lot in my life. I’ve suffered a lot in my life.”
Presley said those experiences had deepened her concern for other people and taught her to appreciate the relationships that have remained consistent through the years. “My friends mean the world to me,” she said. “I’ve had the same friends for many, many years.”
Rather than announcing a new crisis, Presley described what she hopes to do with the years ahead. “I just want to live life and help whoever I can who needs it,” she said. “And that makes me happy.”
Presley Has Endured Several Major Family Losses
Her grandson Benjamin Keough died in July 2020 at age 27. Presley’s mother, Anna Lillian Iversen, died the following year, and her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, died in January 2023 at age 54.
Lisa Marie was Presley’s only child with Elvis Presley. The couple married in 1967 and finalized their divorce in 1973, but remained connected while raising their daughter.
Elvis died in August 1977 at age 42. Presley subsequently became closely involved in protecting his legacy and helped transform Graceland into one of the world’s best-known music landmarks.
She Is Preparing a Follow-Up to Her Memoir
Presley published Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis in September 2025. Co-written with Mary Jane Ross, the memoir follows her efforts to establish an identity outside her marriage and examines her life as a mother, actress, businesswoman and steward of Elvis’ legacy.
During an interview with Spanish newspaper El País in Mallorca, Presley confirmed that she had begun preparing another book. “I’m writing another book, the continuation of my memoir, about the good and the bad,” she said.
Presley also reflected on the experience of seeing her life portrayed in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis and Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla. She said revisiting personal events through movies, books and interviews could release memories and emotions she had carried for years.
She described her time with Elvis as an important education in what fame could do to a person. “It was a great life lesson, being beside someone so famous, seeing how he handled that fame and how becoming such a well-known and popular person affected him,” Presley said.
