Harry Jowsey entered Let’s Marry Harry hoping to leave with a future wife, but executive producer Alex Cooper quickly discovered that his approach to exploring 20 potential relationships needed some boundaries.

After Jowsey became increasingly affectionate with the contestants during production, Cooper delivered a direct message through the show’s team: stop kissing all the women.

The intervention makes more sense after watching the third episode. During one night, Jowsey kissed 11 of the 15 women still competing, eventually questioning whether his behavior matched his stated goal of finding a wife.

Jowsey has since acknowledged that dating so many women simultaneously became emotionally complicated. He wanted to explore genuine connections while becoming increasingly aware that each new kiss could hurt someone else.

Jowsey revealed Cooper’s intervention while discussing the Netflix series with Page Six Radio. “There was one moment when I was on set, and they were like, ‘Alex said to stop kissing all the girls,’” Jowsey recalled.

“I was getting a bit active,” he added. “They needed to rein me in.” The 29-year-old spent approximately five weeks living alongside the women during production. He described the beginning of the experience as overwhelming as he adjusted to dating 20 people within the same environment.

He Kissed 11 of the 15 Remaining Women in One Night

Cooper’s warning came against the backdrop of the behavior shown in Episode 3, titled “Why Do I Keep Kissing Everyone?” According to PEOPLE, Jowsey kissed 11 of the 15 contestants who remained in the competition during a single night.

He initially embraced the unusual opportunity, telling cameras that he wanted to enjoy an experience he expected never to have again once married. His mood shifted as the night continued. “Why do I keep kissing everyone?” Jowsey asked during a confessional. He later acknowledged that kissing nearly everyone in the house was not consistent with why he had agreed to participate in the show.

Dating 20 Women Became ‘Scary’ for Jowsey

Jowsey told PEOPLE that the challenge was not simply deciding which women he found attractive. He also had to consider how pursuing one connection affected everyone else. “In this experience, it got a little bit scary,” he said.

Jowsey recalled reaching a point where he worried about upsetting another contestant every time he kissed someone else. He described the balance between exploring relationships and trying not to hurt people as “daunting.”

Amanda Kloots, one of his closest friends and advisers on the series, said that concern was genuine. “He really did care about not making any of these women feel bad about themselves or about being there,” Kloots told PEOPLE.

His Three Confidants Can Decide Who Goes Home

Jowsey does not have complete control over which contestants remain in the competition. Netflix identifies Kloots, Jowsey’s former girlfriend Georgia Hassarati and artist Sonny Henty as his three closest confidants on Let’s Marry Harry.

The trio observes his relationships, hosts challenges and makes elimination decisions as they try to guide him toward a potential wife. Hassarati brings firsthand knowledge of dating Jowsey, while Henty has known him for years and describes their relationship as closer to father and son than ordinary friends.

Cooper has a separate role as an executive producer of the series. Her instruction about Jowsey’s kissing showed that she was also willing to intervene when his behavior began working against the premise of the experiment.

Jowsey Says He Approached This Show Differently

Jowsey has spent years appearing on reality dating shows, including Too Hot to Handle and Perfect Match, where his romantic decisions helped establish his reputation as one of Netflix’s most unpredictable dating personalities. He told Page Six that he no longer wanted to approach television by manufacturing drama simply because it might create more screen time.

Let’s Marry Harry instead offered him an environment where he could put away his phone and spend extended time with women who had also entered the show saying they were serious about marriage. “Dating in the public eye is a little bit scary and a little bit stressful,” he told PEOPLE.

The Finale Arrives August 12

Netflix released the first seven episodes of Let’s Marry Harry on August 5th. The official Netflix schedule lists Episode 8, the season finale, for August 12th.

Netflix has not revealed the outcome ahead of that episode, leaving viewers to find out whether Jowsey ultimately chooses one of the women he spent five weeks dating and whether his search for a wife ends with an engagement.
