Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace says she was rushed to hospital after being attacked by an XL Bully, leaving the former Big Brother star in severe pain and warning followers to take powerful dogs seriously.

The 47-year-old reality-TV personality shared the update on Instagram Stories after the incident, according to The Sun.

The outlet reported that Horgan-Wallace posted a photo taken shortly before the attack and said the dog had changed toward her in a split second.

The Mirror reported that she was taken to A&E after the bite and said the injury was serious enough that she could see bone. Horgan-Wallace said she loves dogs and owns dogs herself, but her posts turned into a direct warning about control, training and children around large breeds.

Aisleyne Said the Dog Switched in Seconds

Horgan-Wallace told followers the photo was taken minutes before the dog bit her. “Everyone knows I’m a dog mummy. I love dogs. This dog loved me, then for a split second for no reason he didn’t,” she wrote, according to The Sun.

She said the attack left her in agony and permanently marked, adding that people need to understand how quickly a powerful dog can change. The former Big Brother housemate also said she was grateful the bite was not to her neck or face and relieved that a child had not been hurt.

She Warned Owners to Take Big Dogs Seriously

Horgan-Wallace used the hospital update to warn followers about training and control around large dogs. “Big dogs are so powerful,” she wrote, according to The Sun. “Protect your kids it ain’t a joke.”

She Later Pointed to the Heat

The Mirror reported that Horgan-Wallace later responded to a follower who shared a separate story about a fatal dog attack involving a family pet. Horgan-Wallace called that story devastating and said she was lucky in her own case.

She also wrote that the heat was “really dangerous” and urged followers to take care. No report cited here said a vet, police officer or other authority confirmed that heat caused the dog to bite her.

XL Bully Dogs Are Restricted in England and Wales

XL Bully dogs are subject to strict legal rules in England and Wales. GOV.UK says it is a criminal offence to own or possess an XL Bully dog without a valid Certificate of Exemption, and exempted dogs must be kept on a lead and muzzled in public.

The government guidance also says it is an offence to sell, abandon, give away, breed from or breed an XL Bully dog. Those rules do not establish what happened in Horgan-Wallace’s case, and the sourced reports did not say where the attack happened, whether the dog had an exemption certificate or whether police were contacted.

Aisleyne Became Famous on Big Brother

Horgan-Wallace became known to UK viewers after appearing on Big Brother in 2006. She later remained a reality-TV and media personality, with appearances on shows including Celebrity Coach Trip and The Challenge UK.

The dog-attack update came shortly after she spoke publicly about a separate health scare linked to weight-loss injections she said she bought online. This time, her message was about the bite, the pain it left behind and the warning she wanted other owners to hear.
