Billie Eilish’s latest hair reveal has fans comparing her with her brother, Finneas, after she posted a mirror selfie with a much lighter look.
The 24-year-old singer showed off a shoulder-length strawberry-blonde bob in an October 5th Instagram carousel. Her hair fell in tousled layers from a side part.
Eilish captioned the post “hi.” The carousel also included a dog, a pumpkin patch and an image of the singer with blue hair.
For the mirror selfie, she sat on an upholstered ottoman in a navy pullover and khaki pants, with white socks and black shoes. She made a face at the camera while holding her phone beside her.

“Finally I see the resemblance with Finneas,” one commenter wrote. The response had collected more than 6,000 likes when BuzzFeed documented it, with other users agreeing in replies.
Paramore’s Hayley Williams joined the comments with a question about the color: “Natural hair gang?!”
Finneas is also Eilish’s longtime songwriting and production partner. On August 29th, she officiated his wedding to Claudia Sulewski in Montecito, asking the couple to turn toward their guests and take in the moment before they exchanged vows.
Her Warmer Hair Color Was Already Visible in May
Eilish was photographed leaving a Los Angeles salon with warmer hair on May 29th. Vogue described the shade as somewhere between cherry cola and deep bronde, following the glossy brown-black color she had previously worn.
By August, she had also appeared with shoulder-length, auburn-brown hair in photographs from the Toronto set of The Bell Jar. PEOPLE published the images on August 4th, showing her hair styled to match the film’s 1950s setting.
Eilish plays Esther Greenwood in director Sarah Polley’s adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s novel. The set photographs paired her side-parted hair with pearl earrings, red lipstick and a vintage wardrobe.

On March 17th, 2021, Eilish revealed platinum-blonde hair with bangs and shaggy layers, replacing her neon-green roots and black lengths. She captioned that Instagram portrait “pinch me” as she moved toward the Happier Than Ever era.
“I couldn’t go anywhere with that hair because it was so obviously me. I wanted anonymity,” Eilish told ELLE in a September 2021 interview.
She recalled visiting a park with a friend after going blonde and initially being afraid to remove her hood. With her friend’s reassurance, she took it off and described feeling like a new person.
By December of that year, she had returned to dark-brown hair, showing off a short, shaggy cut with bangs. She captioned the post “Miss me?”
