Channing Tatum has a straightforward answer for people who spent the weekend trying to connect him to an anonymous Instagram account commenting on his ex-fiancée Zoë Kravitz and her fiancé Harry Styles, it was not him.
The actor responded on his verified Instagram Story on Sept. 21 after speculation linked him to an account using the handle @bidness_nonya. Tatum called the idea “f***in hilarious” and said he could not believe people thought trolling celebrities anonymously was how he spent his free time, according to Us Weekly.
Part of the theory centered on the fact that Tatum’s verified account followed @bidness_nonya, with screenshots circulating that appeared to show him as the profile’s only follower. Tatum turned that supposed clue around, asking why he would publicly follow a burner account if the entire point was to conceal his connection to it.
Then he removed any ambiguity. “I only have one IG account @channingtatum,” he wrote. The denial came after days of screenshots, theories and attempts to determine who was actually behind an account that had been leaving sharp comments about Kravitz, Styles and other celebrities.
Tatum Says the Secret Account Theory Makes No Sense

The account attracted attention after users noticed comments under posts concerning Kravitz and Styles. One screenshot attributed a “Just here for the hate” response to @bidness_nonya, while other activity appeared unusually favorable toward Tatum.
The most obvious connection was that Tatum’s verified account followed the anonymous profile. That was enough for the theory to spread rapidly across social media, particularly once screenshots of its comments began circulating.
Tatum’s response focused on the logic of that evidence. “Also why would I follow a burner account if I didn’t want people to connect me to it? Wtf come on,” he wrote. He also wrote “Yo i truly can’t believe yall think this is what I’m doing with my free time,” before calling the theory “f***in hilarious.” Entertainment Weekly reported that @bidness_nonya subsequently went inactive.
There Were Already Clues Pointing Away From Tatum

Before Tatum responded, pop-culture commentator Stephanie Tleiji had begun collecting evidence suggesting that the account could have a much less dramatic origin. Her theory was that @bidness_nonya had previously operated as a Channing Tatum fan account, which could explain why his verified profile had followed it long before its newer comments attracted attention.
Cosmopolitan reviewed the evidence and noted that the account had changed usernames multiple times. Another older comment from the person behind the profile referred to having a June birthday, while Tatum was born on April 26. The account also commented across a wide range of celebrity and pop-culture stories.
When another user directly asked whether @bidness_nonya was Tatum, the account reportedly answered, “I’m not him.” Cosmopolitan also noted that Tatum has previously followed fan accounts devoted to Kravitz. When Vanity Fair later asked him about that behavior, he acknowledged that he had been curious about what she was doing and had not realized people would notice which accounts he followed.
The Zoë Kravitz Connection Made the Theory Spread Faster
Kravitz and Tatum began dating after working together on Blink Twice, which Kravitz co-wrote and directed and Tatum starred in. Their relationship became public in 2021, and they became engaged in 2023. Multiple sources confirmed in October 2024 that they had ended their relationship and called off the engagement, according to People.
Kravitz was first publicly linked to Harry Styles in August 2025. Their engagement became public in April 2026, when People reported that they had shared the news with a small circle of friends and loved ones.
