Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly preparing to make his scripted television debut in a British football drama led by Damian Lewis.
The 41-year-old soccer star is expected to appear in and executive produce Day 1s, a series following Stanley Dalton, a fictional agent operating inside the high-pressure business surrounding professional football.
Lewis will play Dalton, while former Arsenal and France star Thierry Henry, British rapper and actor Dave and newcomer Carlotta Banat are also attached. Ronaldo’s character and the size of his onscreen role have not been disclosed.
Filming has begun in London through UR Marv Studios, the independent company Ronaldo founded with Kingsman filmmaker Matthew Vaughn. The project does not yet have an announced broadcaster, streaming service or release date.

Day 1s would mark Ronaldo’s first reported acting role in a scripted television production after years of appearing in commercials, documentaries, video games and programs centered on his soccer career. He will also serve as an executive producer through UR Marv, giving him a role in developing the project behind the camera.
Representatives for Ronaldo, Vaughn and Lewis did not respond to Deadline’s requests for comment when the initial report was published.
Damian Lewis Plays a Powerful British Football Agent
The drama centers on Stanley Dalton, an influential fictional agent played by Lewis, whose television credits include Homeland, Billions and Wolf Hall. The original concept came from Darren Dein, a real-life football agent who represents Henry and is attached to the series as an executive producer.
Rather than following one club through matches and league results, Day 1s will explore the people handling contracts, negotiations, careers and personal relationships away from the pitch. The project has been described as a drama with comedic elements rather than a football sitcom modeled on Ted Lasso.
An unnamed television source told The Sun that the project’s cast and international appeal could produce competition among streaming services. No platform has publicly confirmed negotiations or acquired distribution rights.
Thierry Henry, Dave and Carlotta Banat Join the Cast
Henry is expected to appear after being photographed during production at The Hive Stadium, the home of Barnet FC in northwest London.
Henry and Ronaldo played against each other during their Premier League careers, with Henry starring for Arsenal while Ronaldo represented Manchester United. Day 1s would bring the former rivals together in a scripted project away from competitive soccer.
Lewis has also been photographed filming at Barnet’s stadium. The cast also includes Dave, whose acting credits include the Netflix crime drama Top Boy, and Banat, who was identified as a newcomer in the initial reports.

Ronaldo and Vaughn announced UR Marv in April 2025 as an independent studio combining the footballer’s international reach with Vaughn’s experience developing and directing action films. “This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” Ronaldo said when the company was introduced.
Vaughn called Ronaldo a “real-life superhero” and said the athlete had created stories on the field that he could never have written. The partners said the company would embrace new filmmaking technology while retaining a connection to traditional production methods. By the time UR Marv was announced, the pair had already financed and completed two action films and had begun developing a third installment in the same series.
Day 1s is the first reported television production from the company. Vaughn’s directing credits include Layer Cake, Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class and the Kingsman franchise.
Ronaldo is beginning his move into scripted entertainment while he remains an active player. He signed a two-year extension with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in June 2025, keeping him under contract through 2027.
