Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly have given celebrity relationship watchers an unexpected new pairing to puzzle over, with Taylor Swift sitting at the center of the story.
Johnson and MGK were photographed together in New York City before entering Swift’s Tribeca apartment, according to TMZ. The outlet characterized the outing as a date and reported that Swift was out of town, although neither Johnson nor MGK has said they are romantically involved.
The two do share at least one unusually high-profile recent connection. Both attended Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden, and TMZ now reports that Johnson and MGK allegedly met there.
The sighting also comes only weeks after Johnson’s latest relationship ended. She and musician Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, split “a while ago,” a source told PEOPLE in August.
Both Were at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding
TMZ’s photographs show Johnson and MGK out in Manhattan Friday night. Johnson wore an all-black outfit, while MGK appeared in a jacket with a large skeleton graphic across the back. The pair were then photographed entering Swift’s Tribeca property.
Johnson and MGK were both among the enormous guest list when Swift married Kelce at Madison Square Garden on July 3. Vogue photographed Johnson leaving the Greenwich Hotel as she headed toward the celebration, while separate contemporaneous coverage documented MGK attending the black-tie wedding as well.
TMZ now says Johnson and MGK allegedly met at the wedding. That would neatly connect their July appearances with the September sighting.
Swift and Kelce married in front of roughly 1,000 guests, bringing together major names from music, film and professional sports. Johnson has an established friendship with Swift that predates the wedding.
Johnson’s Relationship With Role Model Quietly Ended

Johnson had been romantically linked to Role Model since December 2025. Their relationship became increasingly public during the spring, when they were photographed kissing, holding hands and spending time together in Los Angeles.
The connection also made its way into Pillsbury’s music. Johnson recorded a spoken-word cameo for “Love I You” from his album Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, exchanging flirtatious lines with him during the bridge after unexpectedly stopping by the studio while he was recording.
The breakup became public Aug. 19, when a source told PEOPLE that the couple had already ended their relationship “a while ago.” Neither Johnson nor Pillsbury publicly explained what caused the split.
MGK and Megan Fox Are No Longer Together Romantically
MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, is also publicly unattached. He and Megan Fox ended their romantic relationship after years of breakups and reconciliations, although they remain connected through their daughter Saga Blade, who was born in March 2025.
PEOPLE reported earlier this year that the relationship between Fox and MGK had become solely about co-parenting and that their appearances together should not be interpreted as evidence of another romantic reconciliation.
