Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams reunited in the audience at Jay-Z’s latest concert, sharing a private suite while the rapper performed below.
The show took place Friday, October 23, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Jay-Z’s JAŸ-Z30 concert run marks 30 years since Reasonable Doubt and 25 years since The Blueprint.
His 14-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, had a part in the show herself. She joined her father at the piano.
Rihanna also attended, watching from the stadium floor, according to TMZ.
Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams Enjoy the Show Together
Footage shared by Hugo Gloss shows the trio smiling, moving to the music and gesturing toward the stage. Their last onstage reunion came on July 26, 2025, when Rowland and Williams joined Beyoncé at the final Cowboy Carter Tour stop in Las Vegas.
Wearing coordinated gold outfits, they performed “Lose My Breath,” Beyoncé’s “Energy” and “Bootylicious.” It was their first group concert performance since Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella set, as PEOPLE reported.
Their private gatherings have continued, too. In February, Rowland told ABC News‘ All Access with Linsey Davis about a dinner celebrating Williams’ Grammy nomination for the Broadway cast recording of Death Becomes Her. “We just shared a meal, but we laughed until we were crying,” she said.
Blue Ivy Accompanies Jay-Z on Two Songs
Blue Ivy accompanied “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents,” according to the tour’s official recap. The selections reached from her father’s 1996 debut era to his 2017 album 4:44.
She was the evening’s first special guest, USA TODAY reported. “No, seriously, make some noise for the one and only Blue Ivy Carter tonight,” Jay-Z told the crowd.
At Yankee Stadium on July 10, she had played the closing piano solo on “Feelin’ It,” another song from Reasonable Doubt. Her stage experience also includes Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance World Tour and 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour.
Jay-Z discussed her approach to music in a March interview with GQ. He said she could teach herself songs after hearing them and had resisted taking piano lessons. “She doesn’t want it to be a job,” he explained.
He also praised the effort she put into her dancing on the Cowboy Carter Tour, saying he was proud she had worked for something she wanted.
Rihanna Spends the Evening Among the Fans
Rihanna was filmed dancing and taking photographs with concertgoers.
During her July 12 appearance at Yankee Stadium, she performed “Run This Town” with Jay-Z, then sang “Bitch Better Have My Money.” That surprise set was part of the final night of his three-show hometown engagement.
Scarface, John Legend and DJ Khaled Join the Anniversary Show
Jay-Z opened with “Hovi Baby” before working through hits including “Izzo (H.O.V.A.),” “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)” and “Dirt Off Your Shoulder.” Scarface joined him for “This Can’t Be Life,” followed by the Geto Boys classic “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.”
The set also paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle. During “Hard Knock Life,” Hussle’s image appeared onscreen as Jay-Z incorporated “Hussle & Motivate.” Later, “On to the Next One” included an instrumental reference to “Last Time That I Checc’d.”
As the lights dimmed and the show appeared to be ending, Jay-Z returned with DJ Khaled and John Legend. “We gotta give y’all one more,” he told the audience before their performance of “God Did.”
Jay-Z wore custom ensembles designed by June Ambrose throughout the evening. The Los Angeles dates follow anniversary shows in New York, London and Paris.
