Megan Fox is reportedly “relieved” by MGK’s developing romance with Dakota Johnson, according to an unnamed source who spoke to Page Six for its October 23 report.
A day earlier, sources told TMZ that Fox remained single and was concentrating on her children and work.
Fox, 40, has four children. She shares daughter Saga Blade with MGK and sons Noah, Bodhi and Journey with her former husband, Brian Austin Green.
Page Six said representatives for Fox, MGK and Johnson had not responded to its requests for comment before publication.
A Source Says Fox Wants MGK to Move On
According to Page Six’s insider, MGK continued trying to get Fox’s attention after their breakup, including through flirtatious comments on Instagram.
The insider described their parenting relationship as positive but said Fox wanted to keep romantic expectations out of it. The same person said she had nothing against Johnson and hoped the two would find happiness together.
TMZ separately reported that Fox and MGK’s contact was limited to matters involving Saga.

Fox returned to Instagram on March 3, 2026, with photographs from a new shoot after previously clearing her account. Her caption read, “Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed.”
“Stoked i have your phone number,” MGK wrote in the comments, as documented by ELLE. The magazine’s report the following day noted that Fox had not replied.
Johnson and MGK Have Been Photographed in New York and Los Angeles
MGK, 36, whose real name is Colson Baker, and Johnson, 37, were photographed visiting Taylor Swift’s Tribeca property in September. Page Six reported that they later went to dinner at Estela.
On October 15, the pair were photographed leaving a Los Angeles recording studio together. Page Six subsequently published pictures of MGK’s car outside Johnson’s home the next morning.
A source close to MGK told People on October 19 that they had also been on dates that weren’t photographed. The insider described them as enjoying the same dry, dark humor and said they “aren’t ready to go official yet.”
Johnson’s split from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was reported in June 2025. She was subsequently linked to musician Role Model, with People reporting in August 2026 that they had broken up “a while ago.”
Fox and MGK Called Off Their Engagement Before Their Breakup
Fox and MGK began dating in 2020 after working together on Midnight in the Switchgrass. She also appeared in the music video for his song “Bloody Valentine” that year.
He proposed on January 11, 2022, and they announced their engagement the next day. By March 2024, Fox had confirmed on Call Her Daddy that the engagement had been called off.
During that interview, she said she had learned that their relationship was “not for public consumption” and would no longer explain its status in detail.
They separated in late 2024, after Fox announced her pregnancy in November. Saga was born on March 27, 2025, a date MGK included in his birth announcement.
Fox’s Recent Work Includes a New Ownership Role
On October 9, Subs.com announced that Fox had become a co-owner of the subscription platform and launched her official page. The company said the page would feature exclusive content selected by the actress for her subscribers.
Referring to women’s platforms, audiences and images, Fox said, “I’m interested in what happens when women own all three.” Fox has also appeared in advertising for telehealth company Ro, which features her in its Ro Sparks campaign.
