Dorit Kemsley is giving a more hopeful update on her friendship with Erika Jayne after one of the most uncomfortable breaks of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15.

While promoting her memoir Unburdened, Kemsley said she and Jayne have been in touch again after their tense season, including the Italy trip that left Kemsley feeling blindsided. Speaking on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Kemsley said she first reached out to Jayne after seeing headlines connected to Jayne’s legal situation, and that Jayne responded warmly. Page Six reported that Kemsley said there is still “a lot of love” and “a lot of history” between them.

Their Texts Were Warmer Than Fans Might Expect

Kemsley did not describe the friendship as fully repaired, but she made it clear that the door is not closed.

She said Jayne messaged her back with the same warmth they had shared before their problems became part of the season’s storyline.

That matters because the Italy argument and reunion fallout made the friendship look seriously damaged onscreen. Kemsley’s latest comments suggest the off-camera relationship is no longer stuck exactly where viewers last saw it.

Bravo Previously Reported That Dorit Was Hopeful

The update also lines up with what Kemsley said in earlier interviews after the Season 15 reunion. Bravo’s Daily Dish reported that Kemsley and Jayne had exchanged “really warm and supportive messages” after the reunion and that Kemsley believed their friendship could recover.

She described the friendship as nearly 10 years long and said she did not believe the two had a pattern of conflict before the Italy moment.

That history is part of why the fallout hit hard. Kemsley did not frame Jayne as a casual castmate. She spoke about someone who had been close to her for years.

The Italy Trip Is Still the Breaking Point

Kemsley has repeatedly pointed to the Italy trip as the moment that changed things.

She said she felt blindsided because she had been in Jayne’s room late the night before, talking in a way that made everything feel normal between them.

The next day, Kemsley felt the group conversation turned into something closer to an ambush. She has said she believes Jayne may have intended to help bring her and Kyle Richards back together, but the way it unfolded made her feel cornered instead of supported.

Erika Had Her Own Hurt Feelings

Jayne’s side of the rift has also been part of Bravo’s coverage.

Bravo reported that Jayne said she skipped Kemsley’s memoir cover release party because she was still hurt after their fight in Italy.

Even then, Jayne did not sound like she had fully shut the door. She said she looked forward to celebrating Kemsley’s book in the future, after time passed and after they could have a conversation in a better place.

The Kyle Richards Rift Added More Pressure

The Erika update is also tied to Kemsley’s larger Season 15 fallout with Kyle Richards. Just Jared noted that Kemsley described the season as emotionally difficult because she was dealing with her divorce, communication problems with PK Kemsley, and unexpected tension with Richards at the same time.

That context helps explain why the Italy argument landed so heavily. Kemsley was not only reacting to one conversation with Jayne. She was already under pressure from multiple personal and cast relationships, with cameras following each shift.

The Friendship Is Moving Again, Not Fully Fixed

Kemsley’s latest update does not mean everything between her and Jayne has returned to normal.

They have texted, the messages were warm, and they have talked about getting together. That is still different from saying the friendship is fully repaired.

For now, the clearest version is that the relationship is moving again. After a season built around hurt feelings, Italy fallout, and reunion tension, Kemsley and Jayne appear to be testing whether almost a decade of friendship can outlast one very bad chapter.
