Dua Lipa and Callum Turner made their marriage official in London. Sicily gave the wedding its second act.

The singer and actor kicked off a larger Italian celebration in Palermo after marrying on May 31 at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London. People reported that the couple arrived at a June 5 pre-wedding celebration in Italy as friends and family gathered for the Sicilian festivities.

The weekend shifted the wedding from a private London ceremony to a destination celebration with a historic villa, famous guests, high fashion, music, dinner, and fireworks.

The Palermo Party Started With a White Bottega Veneta Look

Lipa’s pre-wedding outfit immediately turned the Palermo gathering into a fashion story. People reported that she wore a backless ivory Bottega Veneta halter look with the brand’s signature basketweave texture, a feathered hem, a coordinating clutch, and Bulgari jewelry.

The outfit gave the Sicily weekend a different style language from the London ceremony. For the May 31 wedding, Lipa wore a custom Schiaparelli Couture suit-dress by Daniel Roseberry with gloves, Christian Louboutin shoes, and an oversized white Stephen Jones hat.

Turner kept the Palermo arrival more relaxed as the couple greeted guests. The contrast helped separate the two parts of the wedding week: London was tailored and compact, while Palermo immediately looked warmer, louder, and more theatrical.

The Second Ceremony Took Place at Villa Valguarnera

After the London civil ceremony, the couple held a second wedding celebration at Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, near Palermo. Page Six reported that the Sicily ceremony was part of a June 5 to June 7 wedding weekend and included an outdoor ceremony, dinner, music, and fireworks.

The venue choice gave the celebration a very different setting from Old Marylebone Town Hall. The London wedding had the sleek simplicity of a city ceremony. Villa Valguarnera brought gardens, historic rooms, Sicilian architecture, and enough scale to turn the second event into a full destination wedding.

Elton John Gave the Ceremony Its Biggest Music Moment

One of the most talked-about details from the Sicily celebration was Elton John’s performance.

Page Six reported that John serenaded the couple with “Your Song.” People also reported that he played piano and sang the 1970 ballad as Lipa and Turner exchanged vows.

The detail fit Lipa’s world without feeling random. She and John already have a public musical connection through their 2021 collaboration “Cold Heart,” and the Sicily ceremony placed that friendship inside one of the weekend’s most personal moments.

The Guest List Brought Music, Fashion, and Film Together

The Sicily weekend also drew attention because of the names seen around the celebration. People reported that Charli xcx, Joe Alwyn, George Daniel, Troye Sivan, Mark Ronson, and Grace Gummer were among the famous guests tied to the pre-wedding event.

People later listed additional names connected to the ceremony, including Donatella Versace, Olivia Dean, Kevin Parker and Sophie Parker, Lipa’s sister Rina, and her father Dukagjin.

The mix matched the couple’s public worlds. Lipa’s circle brought pop, fashion, nightlife, and DJs. Turner’s side added film and British entertainment connections. The weekend stayed private by design, but the guest list still gave it the weight of a major industry gathering.

Sicily Already Meant Something to the Couple

The Palermo setting was not chosen out of nowhere. Lipa and Turner had already spent time in the city, and Lipa previously shared photos from a romantic Sicily trip after their engagement became public.

People noted that Lipa’s earlier Palermo post included city streets, waterfront views, food, and moments with Turner. That history gave the Sicily celebration a personal link beyond the villa, guest list, and styling.

The Weekend Balanced Privacy and Spectacle

Even with famous guests and a dramatic setting, the couple has kept many details private. They have not publicly released a full guest list, every fashion credit, or a complete ceremony program.

That restraint made the confirmed details stand out: the London ceremony, the Palermo welcome party, Villa Valguarnera, Elton John at the piano, and a reception built around music and fireworks.

Lipa and Turner’s wedding week now has two clear parts. London gave them the intimate legal ceremony. Sicily gave them the larger celebration with family, friends, music, fashion, food, and a villa near Palermo.

The two settings did not repeat each other. Old Marylebone Town Hall gave the couple a private city wedding. Villa Valguarnera gave them the space to turn the marriage into a three-day Sicilian celebration, with Elton John, fireworks, and the kind of visual detail that will likely define the public memory of the weekend.
