Ed Sheeran did not arrive quietly at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding.
The singer wore a turquoise paisley-print suit over a white T-shirt, pairing the look with black Nike sneakers that had a turquoise logo, according to InStyle. The outfit quickly became one of the most talked-about guest looks from the July 3 ceremony.
The Sun said some fans mocked the colorful suit and sneakers online, while others defended Sheeran’s choice as bold and true to his style. Geo also noted that the sneakers drew attention because the event was a formal celebrity wedding, not a casual night out.
The Associated Press reported that Swift and Kelce married at Madison Square Garden in a closely guarded ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler, with Austin Swift serving as Swift’s man of honor and Jason Kelce serving as Kelce’s best man.
The Turquoise Suit Became One of the Wedding’s Loudest Guest Looks

Sheeran’s outfit mixed a bright turquoise suit jacket and matching trousers with a simple white crewneck T-shirt. InStyle said Swift and Kelce’s guests were asked to arrive in black-tie formalwear, which made his relaxed styling more noticeable.
The sneakers became a separate talking point. InStyle described them as black Nike sneakers with a turquoise logo, while Geo said commenters focused on the shoes almost as much as the suit.
Page Six also described the look as a turquoise paisley suit with black Tiffany & Co. Nike sneakers, while noting that Sheeran arrived with his wife, Cherry Seaborn, on the way to the wedding.

The Sun quoted one critic who said Sheeran needed “a real dress shirt,” while another asked what was going on with his shoes. Geo cited similar comments, including one person who joked that the outfit looked too casual for the occasion.
The reaction was not all negative. The Sun said some fans called the look bold, and one fan argued that Swift would not be bothered by what Sheeran wore because the two have been friends for years.
Cherry Seaborn Also Chose a Bright Look
Sheeran was not the only one in the couple who skipped a dark, understated palette. His wife, Cherry Seaborn, arrived in a bright dress that made the pair one of the more colorful couples photographed on the way to the ceremony.
InStyle described Seaborn’s look as a tangerine-orange Etro maxi dress with an open back, dramatic pleating and an opal-shaped cutout. She paired it with glittery silver platform heels, a matching handbag and silver jewelry.
She wore a long yellow sleeveless gown. Page Six also identified the dress as Etro and said she carried a silver Stella McCartney bag.
Sheeran and Swift Go Way Back
Sheeran and Swift have been close for more than a decade. The Sun noted that they first collaborated on “Everything Has Changed,” then later worked together on “End Game” and “Run.”
InStyle also pointed to their long professional history, including Sheeran opening for Swift on the North American leg of her Red Tour in 2013.
AP reported that hundreds of celebrities, athletes and close friends attended the MSG ceremony, though few official photos or details had surfaced by Saturday.
