Perez Hilton has cut $350,000 from the asking price of the Las Vegas home he put up for sale before moving his family to Miami.
The 48-year-old media personality is now asking $3.9 million for the six-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom property, down from the $4.25 million price he set when it hit the market in June. Realtor.com reported the reduction on September 10 after the home remained unsold through the summer.
The price change comes while Hilton continues receiving medical and mental health care following a serious crisis at his Miami home in August. His family said in its most recent authorized health update that he remained hospitalized in an inpatient setting, while Page Six reported on September 11 that he was still hospitalized.
Hilton’s decision to sell the Las Vegas property predates that hospitalization. He announced his move to Miami in June after about three and a half years in Nevada, saying he wanted to be closer to relatives and believed the change was right for his three children and his mother.
The Asking Price Is Now $3.9 Million
Hilton’s home spans about 7,000 square feet in Prado, a gated community with fewer than 20 residences. The property sits on a corner lot roughly between the Las Vegas Strip and Summerlin.
The contemporary interior includes high ceilings, large walls of glass and an open kitchen connected to the dining and living areas. Hilton previously singled out the primary bathroom, oversized closet and dedicated office as some of his favorite parts of the house.
Outside, the property has a resort-style pool and spa, landscaped entertaining areas and a separate casita. Hilton also used the backyard extensively for his online work because it offered multiple settings for filming.
Kathryn Winterton of Las Vegas Sotheby’s International Realty is handling the listing. Hilton told Realtor.com when the home first went on the market that its location had allowed his family to remain close to schools, doctors and other appointments while still giving them privacy.
Hilton Used the House as Both a Home and a Studio
Hilton said the property played a major role in his work during his years in Las Vegas. He filmed television segments, news interviews, livestreams and daily social media commentary throughout the house and grounds.
“It is a beautiful home, and it served me well personally and professionally,” Hilton told Realtor.com when he listed it. He said two documentaries were also produced there, along with specials for networks and streaming services.
The house was customized for his family before construction was complete. Hilton created a NexGen suite for his mother, Teresita Lavandeira, with her own entrance, living room and kitchenette.
“This was perfect for me, because my mother is a huge part of my family,” he said. Hilton has described her as both a grandmother and a co-parent to his children and said giving her a private part of the home was especially important to him.
The layout also gave Hilton a dedicated office for the first time. He described the house as a place where each member of the family could have a separate area while still sharing the main living spaces.
Hilton Had Already Moved Back to Miami
Hilton announced his return to Miami months before the latest price cut. “We’re moving permanently to Miami,” he said when revealing the decision. “I am so excited, not nervous. I know this is the right move for me and my children and my mother.”
His decision followed several physical health problems earlier in the year, including a 21-day hospital stay. Hilton said those experiences had made being closer to extended family increasingly important.
“My entire family is in Miami,” he told Realtor.com in June. Although he said he had positive memories of living in Nevada, he believed it was time to return to the city where he grew up.
The family subsequently relocated, leaving the Las Vegas property on the market. Hilton said at the time that the move represented a new beginning rather than a reaction to dissatisfaction with Las Vegas.
His Family Says His Health Remains the Priority
Hilton was hospitalized in early August following a mental health crisis at his Miami residence. His family initially asked for privacy and later requested that media, content creators and members of the public stay away from the home so his children could regain a sense of security.
In an August 16 update, his family said Hilton remained hospitalized and that his treatment was continuing in an inpatient setting with medical and mental health professionals.
The family also announced that Hilton’s staff would resume publishing on PerezHilton.com while he focused on treatment.
“For now, Perez’s health remains the priority as his team keeps the site active and moving forward,” the statement said.
