Harry Styles lost his footing during a concert in Mexico City, but the unexpected fall lasted only seconds before he turned it into part of the performance.
The 32-year-old singer was moving across the stage while performing “Are You Listening Yet?” at Estadio GNP Seguros on August 1 when he slipped backward and landed on his side.
According to Entertainment Weekly’s account of the incident, Styles struck a playful pose on the floor and continued singing before standing again.
The audience initially gasped before cheering when it became clear that he was smiling and intended to continue the show.
Styles Continued Singing From the Stage Floor

The fall occurred during the second concert of Styles’ six-show Mexico City run on the Together, Together tour. Video captured by Mexican outlet Grupo Reforma showed him skipping down the stage in a red blazer, white shirt and colorful tie before his feet slid out from underneath him.
Styles leaned onto one side, raised a knee and continued singing into his microphone. The brief pose reassured the crowd and made the recovery appear almost deliberate. Us Weekly’s report on the concert similarly described him as appearing to lounge on the stage before getting back to his feet.
Styles did not publicly indicate that he had been injured. Later in the performance, he reportedly removed his shoes while singing “Adore You,” reducing the chance of another slip on the stage.
The Previous Concert Faced a Heavy Rain Delay
The fall followed a difficult opening night for Styles’ Mexico City residency. Heavy rain delayed the July 31 performance while organizers monitored conditions at the outdoor stadium. Fans remained inside the venue until the concert could safely begin.
Once he took the stage, Styles thanked the audience for staying through the storm. “Thank you so much for waiting in the rain,” he told the crowd, joking that getting soaked was similar to sweating during the show.
Styles canceled a scheduled concert at MorumBIS in São Paulo on July 21 because of what his representative described as a “tour illness.” Promoter Live Nation Brasil told ticket holders that they would receive refunds and offered them early access to a limited number of tickets for the next scheduled performance. The following São Paulo concert proceeded on July 24.
Six Mexico City Shows Lead Into His New York Residency
Styles’ Mexico City engagement began July 31 and continues with concerts on August 4, 7, 8 and 10 at Estadio GNP Seguros. The Together, Together tour supports his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
Its residency format limits the number of cities while allowing him to perform multiple shows at major stadiums and arenas. After Mexico City, Styles is scheduled to begin a 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden on August 26.
The New York engagement, his only announced United States stop of 2026, runs every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through October 31.
