Heather Locklear says her life is not built around Hollywood friendships anymore.
The Melrose Place and Dynasty actress appeared on Hollywood & Divine with Dru Hammer and John Luciano, where the conversation moved from faith and fame to the kind of people she keeps close now.
Fox News reported that Luciano described Locklear as a real friend, “not a Hollywood friend.” Locklear answered, “Oh no. I would do anything.”
When Hammer suggested that Locklear only spends time with Hollywood people who are “nice and kind,” Locklear answered more directly: “I don’t really hang out with Hollywood people.”
Locklear Said She Has Lived Far Away for Decades
Locklear told Hammer and Luciano that she has lived far from the Hollywood scene for “many, many years.” Fox News reported that she described that distance as stretching back about 40 years.
The comment landed differently coming from an actress whose best-known roles were tied to prime-time glamour, status, and television scandal. Locklear played Sammy Jo Carrington on Dynasty and Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place, two characters rooted in the kind of high-drama Hollywood image she now says does not match her daily life.
Her New Romance Has Put Her Back in Public View
Locklear’s comments came during a stretch when her personal life has returned to entertainment coverage. In April, a representative for Lorenzo Lamas confirmed to E! News that he and Locklear were dating.
The two made their first public appearance as a couple at the Chiller Theatre Expo on April 26. Fox News also reported that Lamas attended the May wedding of Locklear’s daughter, Ava Sambora, who married Tyler Farrar at the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, California.

Lamas recently spoke to Fox News Digital about reconnecting with Locklear later in life. Page Six reported that the two first crossed paths during a 1983 Playgirl magazine shoot, when she was starring on Dynasty and he was on Falcon Crest.
Locklear also spoke about Lamas on Hollywood & Divine, calling him her “new boyfriend” and saying their relationship feels spiritually meaningful.
Locklear Still Has a Long TV Legacy Behind Her
Locklear’s name remains tied to some of the biggest television shows of the 1980s and 1990s. Along with Dynasty and Melrose Place, her credits include T.J. Hooker and Spin City.
The new interview did not frame her distance from Hollywood as retirement from public life. It showed Locklear describing a smaller personal circle while still stepping back into interviews, relationship coverage, and family milestones.
