Jack Antonoff’s May appearance on Today is getting fresh attention after news broke that he and Margaret Qualley have separated.

People revisited the May 22 interview, where Antonoff was asked about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding and turned the conversation back toward marriage.

The Bleachers frontman first asked host Craig Melvin whether he was married. When Melvin said he had been married for 15 years, Antonoff joked, “Is it gonna stick?” before saying later in the exchange, “I love being married, man.”

The clip returned to the news cycle after People confirmed that Antonoff and Qualley had separated just shy of their third wedding anniversary. One source described the marriage as “rocky,” while another said the two are still “figuring things out.”

Antonoff appeared on Today with Bleachers for the show’s summer concert series. After the band performed “Dirty Wedding Dress,” Melvin asked whether he had “any big weddings” on his calendar that summer, a clear reference to Swift and Kelce.

Instead of answering directly, Antonoff asked Melvin about his own marriage. Melvin joked that things were going well “unless you know something I don’t,” and Antonoff replied by asking whether it was “going to stick.”

Melvin then returned to the Swift wedding question. Antonoff said he hoped to attend but did not give details, then added, “I love being married, man.”

Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff Have Separated

People confirmed on July 8 that Qualley and Antonoff had separated after nearly three years of marriage. Representatives for both did not respond to the outlet’s requests for comment.

The couple married in August 2023 in New Jersey after getting engaged the previous year. Their wedding guest list included Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz and Cara Delevingne.

Antonoff is currently touring with Bleachers, while Qualley is in pre-production on the upcoming horror film Possession.

Qualley Was Absent From Swift and Kelce’s Wedding

Daily Mail said Qualley’s absence from Swift and Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding had raised questions before the separation was confirmed. Antonoff attended with his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff.

Lena Dunham, Antonoff’s former partner, was also among the guests at the wedding. People later covered Dunham and Antonoff crossing paths at the event after her memoir revisited their past relationship.

The Today clip had already connected Antonoff to Swift and Kelce’s wedding before the split story.

Qualley Removed Wedding Photos From Instagram

People also reported that Qualley removed photos from her wedding to Antonoff from Instagram after the separation became public.

The deleted posts included images from their New Jersey ceremony, where Swift and several other celebrity friends attended. Qualley and Antonoff have not publicly commented on the photo removals.

Antonoff was later photographed in New York City still wearing his wedding ring, according to InStyle.
