James Kennedy is going public with two major updates at once: he has a girlfriend, and they are expecting his first child.
The Vanderpump Rules alum, 34, confirmed to People that he is expecting a baby with Jordan Meyers, a 23-year-old North Carolina native. The announcement also marks the first time Kennedy has publicly shared the relationship, which he said he and Meyers had kept private while they were building it together.
Meyers is four months pregnant, and the couple has been together for eight months. Kennedy said they had already told close friends and family before deciding to speak publicly.
“We are thrilled to share that Jordan and I are expecting our first child together,” Kennedy told People. “We have previously kept our relationship out of the public eye, and this is the first time we’re sharing it publicly.”
Kennedy Said the Timing Felt Right
Kennedy said he and Meyers wanted to keep the relationship personal before announcing it to fans. He told People that the pregnancy felt like the right time to share more widely because they are preparing for a new chapter as parents.
“This is an incredibly special and meaningful time for us,” he said. “And we feel deeply grateful to be stepping into this new chapter surrounded by love and support from our family and friends.”
Kennedy also described the pregnancy as both grounding and exciting, saying he and Meyers are focused on the “joy, growth and change” that comes with becoming parents.
Meyers Said They First Connected on Instagram
Meyers told People that she and Kennedy first connected on Instagram and later met in person at one of his DJ shows. She traveled from North Carolina to California for what was supposed to be a three-day visit, but the trip turned into an eight-month relationship.
“The second I met James, we instantly felt such a strong spark between us,” Meyers said. She added that preparing for parenthood together has been “the most incredible experience” and said they are already in love with their baby.
The News Confirms Weeks of Rumors
People reported that Kennedy was speaking publicly for the first time about pregnancy rumors that had followed him for about a month. The interview confirmed the baby news and introduced Meyers as his girlfriend after months of privacy.
The announcement lands differently from several of Kennedy’s past relationships because Meyers is not part of the Vanderpump Rules cast. Viewers watched some of his earlier romances play out on Bravo, but this relationship became public through the pregnancy announcement rather than a reality-TV storyline.
Kennedy’s Recent Past Remains Part of the Public Context
Before dating Meyers, Kennedy was in a relationship with Ally Lewber from January 2022 to January 2025. People reported that their split came after Kennedy was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence in December 2024; charges were never filed, and Lewber later said she was not “hurt physically” that night but was “emotionally” hurt.
After the arrest, Kennedy wrote on Instagram that he was focused on sobriety, personal growth, and being present for loved ones. People reported that he has also spent the past 18 months working on charitable initiatives, staying sober, and continuing his DJ career through festival appearances, residencies, and nightlife events.
