Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may have come unusually close to another post-divorce encounter in Los Angeles, but there is no evidence yet that the former spouses actually spent time together.
Both were photographed at the same West Hollywood office building on Aug. 20. Just Jared reported that Lopez and Affleck were each seen leaving the building that day, creating the possibility that their visits overlapped.
One detail made the timing particularly noticeable. Photographers noted that Affleck’s purple Cadillac was parked nearby when Lopez arrived and would have been clearly visible to her.
They had a remarkably similar office-building overlap while separated in 2024 and later reunited publicly for a movie they were both professionally involved in.
The Photos Show an Overlap, Not a Confirmed Reunion

The Aug. 20 photographs establish that Lopez and Affleck were at the same West Hollywood office complex during the same general period. They do not show the two arriving together, leaving together or interacting inside or outside the building.
Just Jared reported that Affleck’s Cadillac was still parked nearby when Lopez arrived, suggesting he was at the complex at that point. Both were subsequently photographed making separate exits. That makes a run-in possible. The outlet also noted that the complex is large, leaving open the possibility that they never saw each other at all.
This Is Not the First Time Their Workdays Have Overlapped
A remarkably similar situation happened on Sept. 4, 2024, just over two weeks after Lopez filed for divorce. PEOPLE reported that Lopez arrived at a Los Angeles building where both she and Affleck had offices. Affleck was photographed driving away from the same building approximately 30 minutes later.
At the time, their separation had already become public, and Lopez had filed for divorce on Aug. 20, 2024. Her filing listed April 26 of that year as their date of separation.
Their divorce was later resolved without a prolonged court battle. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge approved their settlement on Jan. 6, 2025, and the divorce became legally effective on Feb. 21 after California’s required waiting period.
They Have Already Reunited Publicly Since the Divorce

Unlike the latest office sighting, Lopez and Affleck have had at least one unambiguous public reunion since their divorce. On Oct. 6, 2025, they posed together at the New York premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman, the movie musical starring Lopez that Affleck executive produced through Artists Equity, the company he co-founded with Matt Damon.
Their interaction was not something observers had to infer from separate photographs. Cameras captured Lopez noticing Affleck arriving while she was giving an interview, greeting him and then joining him and costar Tonatiuh for photos. Affleck also publicly praised Lopez’s work in the film. Both had significant connections to the same movie and were there to promote it.
Lopez Has Credited Affleck With Helping Get the Movie Made
Lopez has been equally clear about Affleck’s professional contribution to Kiss of the Spider Woman. While promoting the film in 2025, she said Affleck and Artists Equity were instrumental in getting the project made after she told him how strongly she wanted the role.
“The movie wouldn’t have been made if it wasn’t for him and Artists Equity,” Lopez said during a CBS Sunday Morning interview. Affleck later discussed Lopez’s performance positively at the movie’s premiere in an Entertainment Tonight interview while speaking about his involvement as a producer.
The Latest Sighting Does Not Establish a Bennifer Reunion
They first became a couple in 2002, ended their original engagement in 2004, reunited in 2021 and married in Las Vegas in July 2022 before holding a larger Georgia celebration the following month. Lopez filed for divorce two years later, and they became legally single in February 2025.
