When Jenny McCarthy calls herself “toxic-phobic,” she knows someone will bring up her breast implants. “Yeah, touché. You are correct,” she said of that criticism on the November 3 episode of The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show.
McCarthy, 54, told plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow that she’s already gone much smaller. The Masked Singer panelist likes how she looks in the dresses she wears now. She could imagine wanting to be a “free bird” when she’s older, but she’s happy to keep her current implants.
Dubrow, the plastic surgeon from Botched, performed McCarthy’s first breast reduction in the early 2000s. She has returned to him for other procedures since then. McCarthy said her current implants are silicone gel implants made by Motiva.
Six days before the interview, McCarthy had told listeners about two years of medical appointments for symptoms she attributed to mold exposure. She said she was still undergoing treatment when she recorded that October episode.
What Terry Dubrow Saw When He Removed McCarthy’s Earlier Implants
Dubrow recalled examining the implants he’d removed during an earlier surgery. They looked normal to him, he said, with no visible signs of mold. He told McCarthy he didn’t believe her breast implants had caused the illness she described.
Federal regulators approved two Motiva models in September 2024. In its guidance on breast implants more broadly, the Food and Drug Administration says some patients have reported fatigue, joint pain and difficulty concentrating. Researchers are still studying what causes those symptoms and how they may relate to implants.

McCarthy said the first sign of trouble was a toothache in October 2024. She described repeated dental procedures and losing dental implants. She said a doctor diagnosed her with mold and mycotoxin poisoning in December 2025, and she suspected exposure at her Los Angeles home.
McCarthy said she had the house treated but still felt safer sleeping outside. In the account Wealth of Geeks covered on October 30, she turned the camera toward the tent she’d set up among the palms in her yard.

McCarthy explained how she chose her first surgeon when she spoke to Kit Hoover on The Coop in 2024. She was living on Chicago’s South Side when a woman in her neighborhood told her about a doctor in Scottsdale. McCarthy booked the procedure and charged it to her credit card.
She said she had asked for a C cup and came home with what she described as double Ds. She wanted a smaller size but had to wait until she could afford another operation. At the time, she said, she thought boys would prefer a larger bust. Looking back, she told Hoover, “If I could go back and undo it, I would.”
