Joe Alwyn and Mary Beth Barone have given celebrity watchers a new pairing to puzzle over after spending a late night together in New York City.
The 35-year-old actor and the 35-year-old comedian were photographed walking across the Williamsburg Bridge on Thursday, Sept. 17, before stopping at several bars. At one point, Barone was seen wearing Alwyn’s baseball cap as they talked inside one of the establishments, according to Page Six.
The photographs are enough to fuel dating speculation, but not enough to settle it. Neither Alwyn nor Barone has publicly confirmed that they are dating.
Alwyn was romantically linked to actress Sarah Pidgeon earlier this summer, while Barone recently turned speculation about her own connection to Lucas Bravo into a joke about a Hollywood “PR relationship.”

Alwyn kept the outing casual in a black T-shirt, loose jeans and a baseball cap, while Barone wore a short black dress with bright blue boots. TMZ published video and photographs of the pair walking together before visiting several local bars.
The outlet described Alwyn and Barone as relaxed and comfortable as they made their way around the city but said it was unclear whether this was their first time hanging out.

Alwyn was linked to Sarah Pidgeon, who plays Carolyn Bessette in FX’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, after the two were photographed together in Brooklyn in June. TMZ reported that they shared a kiss during the outing.
Later that month, Alwyn and Pidgeon were photographed together again during a picnic in London, where they were seen kissing on a blanket in a park. TMZ’s report on Alwyn’s Sept. 17 outing with Barone said there had been no word on whether he and Pidgeon had split.
Barone Turned Her Lucas Bravo Dating Rumors Into a ‘PR Relationship’ Joke
Barone previously sparked dating speculation with Emily in Paris actor Lucas Bravo after the pair appeared courtside at a New York Knicks game in March and were later seen together during the Cannes Film Festival.
During a July 29 appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Barone turned that speculation into a bit about promoting her Netflix stand-up special Galaxy Brain. She joked that Netflix declined to give her a bigger marketing budget and instead offered to set her up in a “PR relationship” with someone from one of the streamer’s properties.
Barone said the supposed arrangement included the Knicks outing and their trip to Cannes before joking that she and Bravo were no longer together because they had only signed a three-month contract.
