Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns have added a wedding ring to a year already filled with major milestones.
The model and designer, 28, and the New York Knicks star, 30, married on Aug. 15 in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, California.
White flowers surrounded the couple as they exchanged vows in front of family, friends, Towns’ NBA circle and a guest list packed with familiar Hollywood faces.
PEOPLE confirmed that Woods and Towns married at the Malibu ceremony nearly eight months after publicly announcing their engagement. After six years as a couple and an even longer friendship, they left the oceanfront celebration as husband and wife.
Woods Wore a Custom Danielle Frankel Gown
Woods walked down the aisle in a custom strapless Danielle Frankel ball gown made from Italian silk wool. The dress featured a draped bodice and full skirt, with hand-cut Chantilly and corded lace appliqués in varying shades of ivory. Page Six described the finished look as Old Hollywood-inspired, highlighting the neck wrap that extended down Woods’ back and the lace-trimmed veil that framed the otherwise streamlined silhouette.
Woods wore her hair in a sleek bun and carried cascading calla lilies. Towns complemented her in a double-breasted black tuxedo and bow tie, accessorized with statement brooches. The ceremony gown was only one of several custom Danielle Frankel looks created for the wedding festivities.
Vogue documented Woods’ final fitting and revealed that the designer also made a silk satin slip dress for the welcome celebration and a lace gown with a dramatic slit for the reception. Woods told Vogue that the compressed timeline made finding her dresses especially intense. Because Towns’ basketball schedule left the couple with a limited summer window, she had only months to prepare after their late-2025 engagement.
The Malibu Guest List Was Packed With Celebrities and NBA Players
The ceremony was held outdoors at a private Malibu property with the Pacific Ocean serving as the backdrop. TMZ reported that an elaborate display of white flowers surrounded the couple and that guests largely followed the black-tie celebration’s all-black look.
Kylie Jenner attended with Timothée Chalamet, while Justin and Hailey Bieber, Michael B. Jordan, Teyana Taylor, Jada Pinkett Smith, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor were also among the guests. Towns’ basketball circle was represented as well, with Knicks teammates and other NBA friends there to watch him and Woods exchange vows.
The formal ceremony eventually gave way to a more relaxed celebration. TMZ reported that Teyana Taylor and other guests were spotted leaving in custom “Married in 15” hoodies while carrying Fanatics gift bags and In-N-Out cups.
The Wedding Followed Years of Friendship Before Romance

Towns and Woods were close friends before their relationship became romantic in 2020. Both have said the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to decide whether their bond would remain a friendship or become something more.
“I think it’s kind of cool dating your best friend,” Woods previously said on her Regular-ish Instagram series. She explained that they already knew each other’s personalities through both good and difficult periods before becoming a couple. Towns similarly said the circumstances of 2020 pushed them to choose where the relationship was headed, “and we chose the latter.”
Woods later identified “friendship and trust” as central to their relationship, telling PEOPLE that knowing each other before dating gave them a particularly strong foundation.
The couple announced their engagement on Christmas Day 2025 with photographs of Towns proposing at Overstory, a rooftop bar in New York City. Woods showed off an emerald-cut diamond ring in the joint Instagram post, which they captioned with a holiday pun: “Marry Christmas.”
The Wedding Capped a Major Year for Towns and Woods
Woods remained a fixture courtside as Towns and the Knicks made their championship run, while Towns publicly credited her with supporting him through both his basketball career and personal loss. Their relationship has repeatedly overlapped with major professional and family milestones since they began dating.
