Kevin Jonas says he took his wingman duties seriously on Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s first date.
During the June 7 episode of the Jonas Brothers’ Hey Jonas podcast, Kevin said he joined Nick and Chopra on the 2018 outing and spent the night trying to make his younger brother look good.
People reported that Kevin joked he “wingmanned so hard” he threw up in the bathroom, then came back to the group.
Nick and Chopra later got engaged in July 2018, married that December, and welcomed daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas in 2022.
The First Date Was a Group Outing

Nick said the date was planned as a group outing to make the night less intense. The group went to see Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Bowl, with Kevin and several friends joining Nick while Chopra brought her best friend.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Kevin spent the evening hyping up Nick. Nick joked that the praise had very “Jersey” energy and said Chopra noticed what Kevin was doing.
Kevin Said He Threw Up and Came Back
Kevin said he threw up in the bathroom during the outing and returned afterward.
E! News reported that Kevin laughed while telling the story and said he stayed committed to helping Nick.
Nick said he and Chopra kissed that night. The couple had first connected through Twitter in 2016 before their relationship became serious in 2018.
