Khloé Kardashian wasn’t interested when Kim Kardashian suggested reconnecting with an ex as a way to end her long stretch of celibacy.

During the Oct. 8 Season 8 premiere of The Kardashians, Khloé, 42, said December 2025 had marked four years without having intimate relations.

The conversation took place during a New York visit with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton. He began by asking Kim whether she was seeing anyone, then turned his attention to Khloé after Kim said she wasn’t.

Appleton admitted that he worried about her. Khloé appreciated his concern.

Khloé Gives Her Exes a Harsh Review

Kim had a much shorter threshold in mind, about seven months before she might consider an ex. Khloé saw little appeal in her own options.

“My recycle list is such gutter,” she said, according to Us Weekly. She described her former partners as “the bottom of the barrel,” without singling out a particular man.

In a confessional, Khloé joked that Appleton seemed astonished every time the subject came up, despite having heard her explain her position before.

Kris Jenner Suggests Appleton Volunteer

Kris joined the banter by suggesting that Appleton sleep with her daughter. The hairstylist played along, and Kim joked about how nice his offer was.

Khloé said friends had made similar offers, but finding someone available was not what she meant. “That’s not what I am talking about,” she told them.

Appleton’s interest in helping was already familiar to viewers. In a March 20, 2025 episode filmed during a trip to Italy, he encouraged Kim and their friends to help Khloé find someone. She explained then that she could have sex if she wanted to; she simply did not want to at that point.

Her Break From Sex Wasn’t Planned

In a November 2025 interview with ELLE, Khloé said her celibacy “wasn’t intentional.” After her breakup, she began therapy and examined her relationship choices.

Parenthood also changed what dating would involve. She had never dated with children before and was putting her energy into them and herself.

When she did have free time, resting at home and watching television often appealed more than meeting someone new. She acknowledged feeling so content alone that she wondered what would make her want to change that.

The Family Fallout From Tristan Thompson’s Paternity Scandal

The September 2022 Season 2 premiere documented Khloé preparing to welcome a second child with Tristan Thompson through a surrogate while processing news that he had fathered a baby with Maralee Nichols.

Khloé’s representative told ABC News that the couple’s second child had been conceived in November 2021, before court filings revealed Nichols’ pregnancy that December. Thompson publicly acknowledged paternity in January 2022 and apologized to Khloé. The couple welcomed Tatum in July 2022. Their daughter, True, was born in April 2018.

Khloé subsequently described boundaries around their co-parenting relationship. In a June 2023 episode, she said she could get along with Thompson for their children’s sake without resuming their romance. Their time together involved the children, she explained, rather than the two of them spending time alone.

Khloé Has Reservations About Children With a Future Husband

In the Oct. 15 episode, Khloé told Kris that she would prefer a future relationship that did not require having more children. According to PEOPLE, she worried that True and Tatum could feel less important if a new baby had both biological parents living at home.

She also discussed potentially using an embryo created with Thompson, saying she controlled it and would not need to tell him. She remained unsure whether she had the capacity to raise another baby. True, however, already has a name picked out for a possible younger sister, Tyla. Khloé said she liked it.
