Kourtney Kardashian’s former nanny Leah Barrs has directly addressed speculation that Travis Barker was the mystery father she previously admitted sleeping with and her answer was emphatic.
“No, oh my gosh, no,” Barrs said when Barker’s name came up during the August 6th episode of Harry Jowsey’s Boyfriend Material podcast.
The 31-year-old Million Dollar Nannies star explained that the encounter happened when she was 22 and had only recently moved to Los Angeles, years before she began working for the Kardashian family.
She said the unnamed man was single and had already been her friend before he asked her to look after his child one evening.
Leah Barrs Says the Mystery Dad Was Not Travis Barker
Jowsey put the speculation to Barrs directly, asking whether Barker was the man involved in the story. “No,” Barrs replied, according to E! News. She immediately elaborated. “Oh my gosh, no,” she said. “So, this was when I first moved to Los Angeles. I was 22.”
Barrs noted that she is now 31, underscoring how long ago the encounter occurred. She then explained that the unnamed father was already her friend. According to Barrs, he asked her to watch his daughter while he attended an event.
“The real story is this guy is my friend,” she said. “I did him a favor one night, and he came back from his event. The daughter was asleep. Technically, I’m clocked out. He is my friend. I’ve always thought he was hot. We hook up.”
Barrs has consistently maintained that the man was single at the time. She has also acknowledged that, regardless of their friendship, she should not have crossed that professional boundary while caring for his child.
The Confession Became a Major Story on ‘Million Dollar Nannies’
The speculation began after Barrs revealed on Million Dollar Nannies that she had once slept with the father of a child she was looking after. The Freeform and Hulu reality series follows eight elite nannies traveling to Ibiza as they attempt to launch an agency catering to wealthy families.
Other members of the group worried that the story could damage their professional reputation and make affluent parents reluctant to hire them. Us Weekly reported that the controversy became one of the central conflicts of the first season, including questions about whether Barrs could remain the public face of the agency.
After the show premiered, Barrs provided more context about the encounter. “I was young, I was 22 at the time. And I shouldn’t have done that,” she told PEOPLE in June, according to Us Weekly.
She reiterated that the father had been her friend first and was single when they hooked up. “I was working for him that night, so I shouldn’t have crossed that line,” Barrs said. She also revealed that the two are no longer close and that the unidentified man has since married. “I’m not that person today,” she said. “Now, he’s happily married. Pack it up.”
Her Kardashian Job Came Years After the Encounter
Her publicly reported employment history places her with Kardashian Jenner Communications years later. Barrs worked full-time as a family assistant beginning in March 2019 and left in April 2022.
She primarily helped care for Kourtney’s three children with Scott Disick: Mason, Penelope and Reign. Barker and Kardashian married in 2022, while their son Rocky was born in November 2023, more than a year after Barrs had left the family job. Barrs has described her work for the Kardashians as extending far beyond conventional babysitting.
“I was doing doctors appointments, school events, keeping track of calendars,” she told the New York Post. “Not only the parents’ schedules, but the kid’s schedules, closet organization, travel.” She said the experience taught her about professionalism, networking and the responsibility that comes with representing a high-profile family.

Despite the scrutiny surrounding the old story, Barrs continues to speak positively about her years working for Kardashian. Asked about Kourtney on Jowsey’s podcast, Barrs initially replied, “Yeah,” before catching herself because of the limits on what she can discuss publicly. “Well, sorry, I can’t really talk about them,” she said.
