Lil Wayne says testimony from a private jet pilot undermines his former assistant’s account of an alleged confrontation aboard the aircraft.
Andrew Williams sued the rapper in 2022, alleging that Wayne punched him after he attempted to intervene in an argument between Wayne and the pilot. Williams says the incident caused physical and emotional injuries and was followed by his wrongful termination.
Wayne, whose legal name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has denied wrongdoing and maintained that any physical response was made in self-defense.
According to newly filed documents obtained by TMZ, Wayne now wants to question Williams a second time after the pilot was deposed.
Wayne Says the Pilot ‘Impeached’ Williams’ Version
Williams alleges that an argument developed between Wayne and the pilot as the group prepared to travel aboard a private aircraft in June 2022. According to his complaint, Williams stepped between the two men because he feared the verbal disagreement would become violent. He claims Wayne then turned toward him and struck him in the face with a closed fist while wearing large rings and jewelry.
In the latest filing, Wayne’s attorneys said the pilot had recently testified under oath and “impeached” Williams’ version of events. Wayne is asking the judge for permission to depose Williams again so his attorneys can question him about the pilot’s testimony and other newly obtained information.
The Two Sides Dispute the Extent of Williams’ Injuries
Wayne’s filing also challenges Williams’ description of the physical harm he allegedly suffered. According to Wayne’s characterization of the medical records, Williams visited an urgent-care facility after the encounter but had “no swelling” or other significant visible injury. The rapper also claims Williams was prescribed ibuprofen but did not take it.
Wayne further alleges that Williams later visited additional medical providers who found no injuries connected to the incident. Williams has maintained that the alleged punch caused physical and emotional harm, medical expenses and lost income. His lawsuit includes claims involving assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and wrongful termination.

According to documents reported by Complex, the job required Williams to remain available around the clock, coordinate travel, pack luggage, manage purchases and keep Wayne’s daily schedule running smoothly. He was also expected to maintain strict confidentiality, remain reachable by phone and feel comfortable working around children and dogs.
The listed personal requirements included a positive attitude, physical fitness and “pleasant personal hygiene.” More unusual duties involved preparing pre-rolled smoking supplies and restocking Wayne’s preferred wraps before they ran out.
