Lucy Watson says her 2-year-old son Willoughby has had several “scary” hospital visits after dealing with sickness, fevers and a rash that has not gone away.

The former Made in Chelsea star shared the update on Instagram this week, telling followers that her son had been taken to A&E more than once in recent weeks. For U.S. readers, A&E refers to Accident & Emergency, the U.K. equivalent of an emergency department.

The Sun reported that Watson posted a photo of Willoughby being held by her husband, James Dunmore, while explaining what had been happening behind the scenes.

“We’ve had a few scary a&e visits in the last few weeks,” Watson wrote, according to the outlet.

Watson said the first hospital visit happened while the family was in Greece. “The first time we were in Greece which wasn’t ideal,” she wrote, according to The Sun.

She described the illness as “a mix of sickness & fevers,” but said the main concern became “a rash that hasn’t wanted to go away.” Watson did not share a diagnosis. She told followers the rash “still remains unexplained,” but added that the family had “hopefully” ruled out anything more serious.

The Sun reported that Watson ended the update by sending love to anyone with a sick child.

She Said a Child First-Aid Course Helped

Watson also said she was grateful that she and Dunmore had taken a course with Newborn & Beyond, a child health and safety service she tagged in the post.

“We’re so grateful we did a course with @newbornandbeyond so we know what to look out for,” she wrote, according to The Sun.

Watson did not give medical advice or say what doctors believe caused the rash. The NHS advises parents to call 999 or go to A&E if a child is unwell with a rash and has symptoms such as a stiff neck, difficulty breathing, confusion, sudden swelling of the lips, mouth, throat or tongue, or a rash that looks like small bruises or bleeding under the skin and does not fade when pressed with a glass.

The health update came during another major family stretch for Watson and Dunmore. Watson announced in April that she is pregnant with the couple’s second child, and she recently revealed they are expecting a girl.

The Sun reported that Watson shared the baby’s sex earlier this month with holiday photos and the caption, “We can’t wait to meet you,” alongside pink emojis. Her sister, Tiffany Watson, commented, “Baby girl we can’t wait to meet you!”

Watson and Dunmore met on Made in Chelsea in 2015 and married in Kefalonia, Greece, in 2021. They welcomed Willoughby in March 2024.

She Recently Returned to Screens With Beyond Chelsea

Watson became one of the familiar names from Made in Chelsea before leaving the E4 show in 2016. She later returned in the spinoff Beyond Chelsea with Binky Felstead and Rosie Fortescue.

Channel 4 said the series follows the former Made in Chelsea cast members as they balance motherhood, family life, relationships and business.
